First day and a half of being laid up I went on a 80s movie kick.
Hunt for Red October
The Enemy Below (not 80s, but continuing the submarine theme, and Robert Mitchum FTW)
The Final Countdown (sticking with the Naval theme)
Fletch 1 and 2 (Fletch Lives is certainly the lesser of the two movies, but what a cast! Also, as I pointed out the other day, Hal Holbrook as the heal is instant win.)
Beverly Hills Cop (essentially a better version of Fletch)
Ghostbusters
Star Trek V--Final Frontier (as bad as I remember it)
Had a few more on deck, Magnum Force and the first two MiB movies, but went off on a Star Trek thing today, instead. For those keeping score:
One Little Ship
The Menagerie
A Piece of the Action
By Any Other Name
Patterns of Force
Little Green Men
Mostly trying to keep them lighthearted, obviously, except for Menagerie, which is just a wonderful episode.
I'll give football a shot tonight, but if the game's as bad as I expect it to be I'll switch back to ST or the 80s.
