An American Werewolf in London.

Never saw this one before, but liked it.  Good mix of horror and comedy, like Evil Dead.

Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas - Saw this one mostly for the nostalgia and man is it fun. It’s a bit too silly at times, and the dialogue feels bit unnatural and often cheesy, but when it’s good it’s good. And I love Eris as the villain.

Exodus: Gods and Kings - I like a lot of what they tried to do here, and once the plagues get going it’s pretty intense, but overall I think it misses the mark. I feel like they wanted so bad to make it ’realistic’ that they missed out on a lot of cool stuff from the original story. And while God is definetely as much of a genocidal maniac in the bible too, they really went out of their way to make him seem like a dick here, even to Moses, which I think was unnecessary. Fantastic looking movie though.

Summer Rental

John Candy was just awesome.  Always liked this movie and the similar one, The Great Outdoors.  But neither top Planes, Trains and Automobiles, which is one of my all time favorite comedies.  Those aren't pillows!!!

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom- Pretty good movie. Lots of action but the story falls short. Not as good as the last one but a fun movie. It will make a ton of money opening weekend but will not come close the last one.

Saw Ocean's 8 last night. Moviepass was burning a hole in my pocket, so I thought I'd give it a shot. It was OK. Reasonably entertaining. More of the same except with women.

 Blade Runner: Directors cut.

I just LOVE this movie. My annual viewing again today. This movie still stays visually stunning and overall is just an incredible movie.

Despite the name, that's not really an approved version by Ridley Scott - that one is The Final Cut, and it's glorious.

Incredibles 2. LOVED it. I love the first one and this one lives up to the first. My 11 year old sons loved it too. Super fun movie.

The Man who wasn't There. Nice and broody B/W noir film from the Cohen brothers, it was good, nothing worth seeing multiple times but Billy Bob Thorton is great for roles like this.
I use my sig to pimp some bands from Italy! Check out Elvenking (Power / Folk metal), Folkstone (Rock / Medieval metal), Arcana Opera (Gothic/Noir/Heavy metal) and the beautiful voice of Elisa!

Finally got around to watching ‘War For The Planet of the Apes’. Man that was really good. I’m in awe of how much emotion they were able to achieve in the CGI faces of the apes.....I was genuinely concerned and invested in them.

Loved the Caesar death scene as well and like the fact he was able to lead them all to their new home then die on his own terms.

Would still love to see them do one more as a remake of the original with the astronauts returning to earth.

I think I might have preferred this to Bloodsport, although tbh no Van Damme is really all that awesome. :lol
I just wish Bloodsport focused more on blood and less on sport.

Seeing it come full circle to a remake from this crew would be cool, although I'd be happy if it ended here because it closed out the trilogy so perfectly. For me it's the best trilogy in a long time. I still need to rewatch this one too. I watched it at the cinema, and got the DVD but haven't actually watched it again yet.

Assassin's Creed - some of the game simulation stuff was great, but man they could have done much better with the material they had to work with.

Agreed wholeheartedly.  I saw it in theatres with very low expectations - that were barely met.

Yeeeeeah not knowing how that story ends, I can see that being jarring. I haven’t seen the movie and dont really want to because of that.

A very good movie though. But if you’re not in the mood to go through an entire box of Kleenex, then I’d recommend watching something else.

Transformers: The Last Knight

Interesting premise, but failed to keep my attention from the very start.  It's one of a very small list of movies where I have no interest in even finishing it.  The first 3 in the Transformers series are awesome though.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

I enjoyed it as a popcorn movie BUT for the people who thought the first Jurassic World was stupid, this one takes it to a whole new level. There's some good scenes and tension in here, but towards the end it gets pretty stupid.

Watched Demolition Man tonight. The initial plot was a little convoluted, and it felt like it borrowed a lot from other similar films, but overall it was still a lot of fun, and very good for a 90s Stallone movie.
