My love for the Deadpool movie is over the top. People ask..........why do you watch a movie several times. In Deadpool case, there are lines that you miss etc. Then again, Jaws is my favorite movie ever and everytime I watch it (well over 100 times) I get something new.

I seem to be in the minority to not absolutely love Deadpool. I liked it just fine, it was funny in a very different way, and... that's about it.

Robo-G

I randomly came across this movie while looking for a different movie last night, and couldn't pass it up. It's a Japanese comedy about this small team from an electronics / appliance company who are tasked with building a robot in 3 months for some convention, but with a week to go what little progress they've made is destroyed in an accident. So they have auditions to find someone to fit inside the robot shell to pretend just for the convention, and end up stuck with this senile old man. The old man goes off script and ends up getting a lot of attention, and they have to keep up the charade for a while longer. Appropriately, the music over the credits is Mr Roboto. :lol

X-Men: Apocalypse - I liked it!

So far I would rank the superhero movies of 2016:

1. Deadpool
2. Civil War
3. Apocalypse

4. BvS

We've been catching up on the Mission Impossible Films. The first and third were fantastic. The second was absolutely terrible. Watching number 4 this weekend.

5 was pretty good, not awesome but better than Ghost Protocol. Third one is my favorite by far because it, along with the first one, feels the most raw. The ones after it both feel a bit too polished.

Finally saw It Follows last night. Yet another example of a movie that came to me wayy too hyped up. It was good, but not nearly as amazing as everybody has told me.

I agree, and it wasn't even that hyped for me since I saw fairly early. It was fine, and I definetely appreciate the concept because it's freaky as hell. But as a movie it was good, like you said, not amazing.

How to be single: cute. Not great, but cute
Take Shelter: soooo good. See this.
No clue what the fourth movie was. Hmmmm.

Oh gawd, I can't tell you how many people were like "OMG you haven't seen it yet?!?"

Meh.

It did leave me with several important questions, such as.... what about gay sex? Bestiality? And last night friends and I decided Burning Man would be the best place for it to happen to you :lol

Mary Shelley's Frankenstein (1994)
I watched this one largely because I remember seeing it once as a kid, and there was a part I've always remembered as freaking me out (a particular character's death and revival). The movie itself was pretty average as expected, and the pacing at the start was kind of wonked. The part that freaked me out still freaked me out a bit. And the scene with Frankenstein helping his naked placenta covered monster up and slipping continuously to the floor was odd to say the least though. :lol

The Signal (2014)
I didn't know much going in, this was just a random scifi pick. The movie kept setting up questions, but without any real reason for me to care about the answers, or even much enjoy the ride. By the end I found myself skimming through, and it just got weirder. Meh.

Finished a documentary about craft beers called Crafting A Nation.  It was really good, and brought a good spotlight on the behind-the-scenes stuff that goes into founding and maintaining a craft brewery, and the brotherhood amongst various craft brewers.  Really neat.

when waiting on the mash we get an hour so we can start it then finish it after.   So brewing, drinking and watching about beer.  Sounds like a man day.

The Infinite Man
Another time travel movie, about a guy who splits up with his girl after an encounter with her ex, then invents a time machine to go back and fix it, and things get very complicated very quickly.
At the start of the movie, I wasn't liking it and it almost lost me, but then it got to the point where I realized a lot of things were set up to appear differently to what they actually were, and it was very clever. My head still hurts from all the time travel looping, it was Primer level stuff, with a pretty good sense of humour and more heart. At first it bothered me how much of a dope the main character was with his girl, but that played into the plot.

Still not sure what my final opinion of it is. I might need to watch it again some time.

Predestination - I think I need to watch this again, I'm quite sure I know what the movie is about but it's really really weird. I did enjoy it but wasn't watching it with a lot of concentration.
In Bruges - Watched it again after so many years and had forgotten how hilarious the movie was, very in line with Snatch and Lock, Stock and two smoking barrels.

I watched/commented on that one only a couple of weeks ago. Coincidence? :blob:
It was indeed very weird, but I liked it a lot once it all came together. I'm always sure to give time travel movies my full concentration, especially when they get that mind bendy. :lol
