Have you guys seen the alternative ending? https://youtu.be/rrQaNApoGD0

This one leaves more to the imagination than the "happily ever after" ending.

I like that this implies the happy ending while still leaving it a bit more open to interpretation.

At quick skim, I thought Orbert's question was about who was the voice of the guy's dad on the phone in Source Code, which it turns out is Scott Bakula. How did I miss that?

I believe you.  But rules are rules.

I bet David Bowie had the same mantra ;)

Anyway, I really hope Warcraft is good. I'm not personally interested, but Moon was so amazing that I'd hate to see his career suffer a big blow this early.

When Gyllenhaal calls him, one of the first things he says is "Oh boy".

That was a pretty good show, though I enjoyed Sliders much more. I never saw how that series ended though.

I love Sliders. You're not missing much with the ending of that one though. The final season was cheesy, and ended on a cliffhanger in an attempt to get another season.

Did it continue on elsewhere, like in a book or comic book or something, or did it just end and leave people hanging?

As far as I know, it was never resolved anywhere, although I'm not too interested in that kind of thing, so maybe they did.

Whenever I see Jerry O'Connell anywhere, it always makes me laugh when I realize he was the fat kid in Stand By Me.  :lol

Anyway, I just finished watching a movie called Predestination with Ethan Hawk. From the brief summary, I was expecting a cheesy low budget scifi movie similar to Time Cop (or more like Time Cop 2), but it ended up being pretty amazing. I won't spoil anything, but it was a crazy time travel causality movie that was not at all what I was expecting going in.

I'll check that out.

I'm hoping to go Sunday to see Civil War.  I've been watching Deadpool in parts.  Man, so many in jokes I missed at the theater.  Such a great movie.

Predestination is awesome. I still laugh sometimes when I remember it because it's just so weird.

Yeah. I was just trying to summarize the overall story to someone, and they thought it was nonsense. :lol
But it's told in such a great way with setting up your expectations, and then switching everything on you, and I thought the acting was really good too. It could have come off as silly if that main actress didn't play that part with such conviction.

The Man From Earth - The low budget for this movie is very apparent, even for a movie that's just 90 minutes of people talking in a room, with a lot of distractingly bad ADR every minute, and some hammy acting, but it was an interesting movie. One thing that always bothers me when you have a character who's lived for hundreds or thousands of years is that they just happen to be a part of important history and known historical figures though, and this one has probably the most significant example I've seen.

For the First Time: Ghostbusters

A big one I've missed. It was funny, but not quite worth the hype. I feel I'd have liked it more had Murray's character not been such a douche. It was funny sometimes, but otherwise it was just awkward.

Not that I didn't like it, it was certainly good.

Bill Murray is the best part of that movie, except for the parts with Rick Moranis.

The scene where he suddenly declared his love to Sigourney's character was really creepy, and I'm pretty sure he'd commit sexual assault against a minor if the plans with that student in the beginning had actually played out.

Those are the two moments that made me not love his character. But other than that it was all fine.

Chronicle - Decent movie, but the found camera footage gimmick gets old quickly and becomes really contrived, more so than usual for these kinds of movies. Aside from that, I enjoyed it.

The terrible Chris Farley movie or the awesomely cheesy horror movie?
