There's a few scenes where they interview fans of the films who are disabled or dying. Why ?

It just dragged the celebratory feel of the documentary down. :/

I am so not into watching movies over and over. Sure, if I enjoyed it I'll watch it again... sometime down the road. But there are very few movies I would see more than once in a theater. This just seems like one of those personality things people are divided on- half my friends will see something a bunch and the other half are like "Why??" :lol
Yes I loved it. No I don't want to watch I again yet. *shrug*

I only watch certain movies over and over. Most movies I watch once and that's it. There are far too many good movies out there to see for me to watch every movie over and over.

There's only a few movies I can watch pretty often.

That Thing You Do (Director's cut)
Casino
That Video of Jackie Sleeping
Annie Hall

I'm sure you'll see the trend.

 :blush
Most movies I watch once, but ones I really love I will definitely watch multiple times... just not close together. I was recently talking about this with someone and I think I can name most of the movies I've seen more than a few times, because there aren't too many. And these viewings are over the span of years.  And often because I want to show them to somebody who hasn't seen them, not necessarily because I just feel like watching them again.

That Thing You Do is one of those movies I can watch over and over. It's such a fun movie, and I loved it even more when I saw the director's cut. Casino is another one, too. I can watch mob movies over and over.

I just watched the BTTF doc " Back In Time ".. It was ok. Nothing I didn't know already obviously - being a massive BTTF aficionado.

I didn't like all the sob stories though from fans. it should have been a celebration of the movie.  It was a bit miserable.
I recently watched that film as well, but there was nothing miserable about it.  The stories of the fans were to show how important it is to some people.  They weren't sob stories, they were uplifting, and examples of how films in general (and this one in particular) are so powerful in the lives of the ones who love them.

There was plenty of great material on the actual film, and the fan stuff was really great and interesting.

Alien 3 (the extended edition)

Where as Alien 1 and Aliens are two of my favorite movies every made, Alien 3 is quite a mess.

A good example of why you don't begin filming a movie before the script is complete. I wanted to like it, but it just didn't do it for me.

I don't really like Alien 3 OR Resurrection. 3 is really drab with bad visuals and Resurrection is just a run of the mill Hollywood action sequel with macho posturing and swearing.

The lady and I went and saw the new Jungle Book tonight. Very well done, and much more intense. I wouldn't recommend taking the very young kids.

Great, I'll probably be seeing it next weekend. Tomorrow I'll be seeing Zootopia for the 5th (and probably final in theaters) time.

While Alien 3 is easily worse than 1 and 2, I actually enjoy that movie. Not a lot, and it's not that I think that it's particularly good, but I've seen it a few times and am able to have fun with it.

I couldn't stand Alien 3.

My favorite review of it was by Peter David.  The headline was something like "Alien 3, Fans 0."

The Fountain. Somewhat confusing at first, but painfully beautiful by the end.

It's a clever knock off derived from a common way to tell the score in athletic events, but I'm sure you're right, he obviously took it from an obscure script that was never made into a movie which hardly anyone has ever heard of.

Been on an Alien kick, so last night was prometheus.

This was my second time seeing it since its release. I loved fassbender and idris elba, but other than that, I felt the same way I that I did the first time I watched it. Meh

I definitely will check out Alien Covenant when that comes out though.

Don't worry, next weekend I'll be seeing The Jungle Book.

But honestly I think Zootopia will end up on my top 5 movies of all time. It really is that good.

It's so terrible. I think it's worse than Jaws 4 easily.

Finally got to see Hellraiser. I think the idea is interesting as hell   but the weird cheap special effects and very over the top over acting kinda detracted my enjoyment a bit. Oddly when comparing it to the Thing, that movie felt a lot more interesting.

Saw 3 - I thought this was quite a bit better than the second movie, and I like how it tied together the first two movies (although I didn't get the impression from the first movie that she was an accomplice yet). But um, how do you continue to make more Saw films after that ending? :lol
