Last movie I've seen is H8ful 8. And it was good. Not best, but solid and somewhat different. Very bleak, too - in fact, probably Tarantino's bleakest film so far (with the possible exception of Reservoir Dogs), at times gut-wrenching (just as RD were), but also slightly overlong. I mean, I get the movie's supposed to be epic, what with it being filmed in Ultra Panavision 70 and everything, but the substance's really not enough in places. It was a bit tiring, after all. But still, I enjoyed it and I will definitely see it again, maybe on home video, though.
Liked the Morricone score and liked all the shout outs to Carpenter's the Thing (including the score! Does this mean it's been officially acknowledged Morricone actually did work on the Thing and that his soundtrack kicked ass? I hope so).
Tonight we're going to see the Revenant.
