I watched it, too. I always enjoy catching it when it's on TV. I enjoy religious/historical fiction movies. Like you, I think Angels & Demons gets the slight edge.

You need to watch his Sex & The City 2 review. It's hilarious.

Well my only impression is that that reviewer seems to be a pretentious douche. I didn't like those movies especially much, but his guy does nothing but annoy me.

Watched Straight Outta Compton Friday night.  I knew I was going to come away from it feeling a bit worse off for having seen it.  But having grown up and witnessed NWA's rise and fracturing, I was intrigued at seeing it presented from (part of) the band's perspective.  It was decent.  From a musical standpoint, I was a bit disappointed they didn't do more with DOC.  But at the same time, I get it, since his story would have added almost nothing to the overall narrative.

I have to figure out what to watch later on, as far as movies go. I watched Shallow Hal again over the weekend.

He is certainly identically off-putting in everything.
Hef is right on all things. Except for when I disagree with him. In which case he's probably still right.

Spotlight.. which was great, I didn't even notice the two hours it went for.  Great performances.

Next is Inside Out and Infinitely Polar Bear.

Just watched The Wild Bunch. I've never really been a big fan of westerns but lately I've been getting into the grittier ones. I saw the almost universal praise for this one and decided to give it a shot. I really enjoyed it.
Do you read Sutter Cane?

Shallow Hal actually wasn't too bad a movie for the most part from what I recall (my expectations when I caught it on TV were zero which may have helped), and School of Rock is the one movie he's ok in because it was written for him to play the part of Jack Black in it. :lol
Anything else, I can't stand him at all. Why did they put him in King Kong?!
Only King could mis-spell a LETTER.
Yep. I think the only party in the MP/DT situation that hasn't moved on is DTF.

I thought they did a VERY decent job. Loved that diss-scene when they listened to 'No Vaseline' by Ice Cube. Immediately went and listened to the track after that. Cube was whipping their asses good. And they knew it, never really came back from that.

I just saw the new Macbeth movie. Beatiful. Terrifying, bleak, and beautiful. With all the visual poetry of The Revenant, and the actual poetry of Shakespeare.

Sure you are.

I love Shakespeare, having studied him in detail in college, but you can dislike anything.

Except doughnuts.  And pizza.  And sex.

Handy hint: You may combine any two of those, but never all three.
Hef is right on all things. Except for when I disagree with him. In which case he's probably still right.
