Seeking members for a Concept Band - Seattle
« on: March 27, 2015, 04:59:25 PM »
MEMBERS WANTED for ambitious Progressive Rock Concept band. Needing diversity and versatility, good sense of melody and composition. Backing vocals/multi-instrumentalist is a plus. Writing is a collaborative effort.

Influences include: Coheed and Cambria, The Dear Hunter, Rush, Dream Theater, Incubus, Periphery, Porcupine Tree, Steve Vai, Thank You Scientist, Zammuto, The Decemberists, Haken, etc. All influences and styles HIGHLY encouraged. Very interested in someone with a musical theatre or film scoring background.

The concept:
~~ King Arthur, the best of man, wielder of the ancient numinous weapon Caliburn, fell during the Battle of Badon hill, slain by his half-faye bastard son Mordred. In the centuries that followed, Merlyn, an Eternal, quested through time at the behest of The Lady of the Lake to find the prophesied reincarnation of the King and deliver unto him Caliburn, so he may once again bring together the humans of earth and lead them in the fight against the threat of the Dark God Cernunnos.
Reportedly, on the headstone of the original King Arthur's grave, the haunting epitaph read "Here lies Arthur, king once, and king to be." This epic, sprawling tale told over five albums weaves together different times, dimensions, and characters to finally tell the "future" half of the famous Arthurian prophecy of "The Once and Future King." ~~

For now, we're primarily focusing on writing, recording, and file sharing. Live performances are on the back burner as shows will have a theatrical production and require a lot of preparation (think Steven Wilson, Scenes From a Memory tour, The Protomen).

We have a professional recording studio at our disposal and our first EP is already written. PM me for more info.

Also, feel free to move this to another forum if I'm posting in the wrong place.
Man seeks a good time, but he is not a hedonist! He seeks love, he just doesnt know where to look. He looks under the beds of whores and in the hot stem of a crack pipe. But he should look to nature; gentle aquatic mammals have all the answers!
