A show from Disney?

You mean, on the Disney Channel?
Hef is right on all things. Except for when I disagree with him. In which case he's probably still right.

Yup. It started off on Disney Channel and moved to Disney XD, which is targeted for slightly older audiences. But honestly, I'm kinda surprised the show exists, period. It's certainly children accessible, but it really feels like it's more geared towards older audiences.

Here's just a small sample from an early episode of the sort-of comedy that is in the show. Aside from that though, there's also a surprisingly dark and complex conspiracy plot going on in the show too. The two most recent episodes, Northwest Mansion Mystery and Not What He Seems, are both incredible.

The only reason I read this thread was because of the title. 'Good show' and 'Disney' don't really seem to go well together.

But wow, that clip was really funny.

It goes far beyond that, Onno. As it currently stands, halfway through Season 2, Gravity Falls is pretty much The Simpsons meets Twin Peaks or The X Files. The first season, which that clip came from, is pretty funny and has a fair bit of mystery, but the second season is a real treasure imo.

It's been on my list since it first aired. I haven't had to time to watch it yet...though it has been what, three years now? I need to make time.

Hella bump, but I finally got around to watching this. The shows is returning today, so I marathoned through the entire ~12 hour show yesterday. It's really, really excellent. The humor is spot on and there is so much attention to plot details and foreshadowing. The creators really show a ton of effort and heart with this. I hope it lasts.

It's the brainchild of Alex Hirsch and he's already gone on record that the show's only going to last somewhere between two to four seasons, with maybe a movie release to wrap everything together. While I'd love to get more seasons of GF, I can totally understand and respect Hirsch's approach on the matter. Better to focus on quality than quantity, after all.

:tup I'm planning on showing it to my younger cousins at a family reunion that I'm going to late next week. I think they'll love it.
