it's not a mini-roulette btw. i'm most likely gonna have as many songs/artists, if not more, than the standard song roulettes i've done before  :lol
just because it's four rounds doesn't mean they aren't long rounds

Hey sorry mine's gone on for so long now. 2 more weeks and it's wrapped up.
From a Mega Man Legends island jamming power metal to a Walrus listening to black metal, I like your story arc.

J Boy, It's a shame you're not participating. It's the only roulette that you're guaranteed not to lose to me. ;D ;D

I know you said you have a move coming up, which is cool. I have themes and they will all be revealed in the OP, just in case you do decide to join. It should help in planning.

Alright! I might have to think about themes for rounds, but I think I can get it running as soon as needed. I think I'll take eight contestants, but if more people want in, I might have more and maybe eliminate some people as it goes on.

I've been out of the loop and I don't really get the idea behind the hangman, but if you guys like it, I can do it. First impressions seem fun too.

So umm... if you're interested, comment here or PM me.  :)

It will be a song roulette, with eight themed rounds, like my last one. There will be some changes to it, but I'll announce them in the roulette topic. I'm looking for eight people.

My first roulette.

Participants:
- Parama
- Kattelox
- Sacul
- Puppies_On_Acid
- TAC
- Lethean
- senecadawg2
- Stadler
- Train of Naught

Other than your banned list I have no idea what kind of music you like. That honestly will determine if I want to participate, since if you're only gonna have 8 participants, I don't want to take up a slot if I know I'm not going to send stuff you'll dig. Could you elaborate, even if it's brief, on your tastes?

My top 100 Spotify songs 2017
My top 100 Spotify songs 2018

Banned list

My tastes... they probably differ somewhat of an average DTFer. I do like prog and prog metal, but it depends on the artist a lot. Good melodies are more important to me than incessant noodling.

Genres I tend to like:
- industrial
- post-hardcore
- alternative rock/metal, especially from the 90s
- doom/sludge/stoner metal

I usually don't like (there might be exceptions)
- black metal
- hair/glam metal
- pop music made after the 1980s
- rap/hip hop

The banned list should give you a rough idea. It has almost exclusively artists I like, I left out some artists I'm not so keen on so that somebody can try to prove I've been wrong about them.

It depends. I do enjoy some death metal from time to time, but some of it I find just a bit unmemorable. I might enjoy some song, but not remember how it went five minutes later.

Vocalist also matters a great deal. As a rule of thumb, I'd like to be able to make out at least some of the words (s)he is singing.

Melodeath and technical death are also ok.

And I'd like to point out that in my first roulette, I had real trouble giving people scores worse than 8 (on 1-10-scale :lol). That's why I'm going to use a different scoring system this time. But I don't think I received a song in the last roulette that I would've really disliked.
