I'm sure the banned list would be titanic :lol
I don't even want to imagine it.

Has everyone who is a common participant in some of these roulettes lately done one recently?
Never done one.

Wanna sign up?
To host one? There wouldn't be much point at the moment, I'm just not listening to too much music lately. I'm barely getting through the trickle of new stuff I check out as it is.

Just finished my banned list. Going strictly off my phone we're looking at 265 artists, and that's not including the usual "if it appeared on classic rock radio, it's banned" disclaimer.

Question: how long does it typically take someone to win their first roulette? It always seems I start off ok and then fail the last few rounds. It's happened in the last like 4 roulettes.
I don’t know what to put here anymore

I was useless in my first two , then wisened up and made the next two a couple of people who have some sort of common taste and won both of those.   So the answer is you should win your third and fourth  ;D

And haven't won since  :lol

I have played in more than 20 roulettes probably and have won a total of zero. Though once I came in second by half a point, and once I had the same amount of points as the roulette winner, but the host decided to host a final, where I again had the same points as the other person, but lost. By not even half a point this time.

I don't know in how many I played but it's probably like 10 without the current two I'm in, haven't won a single one. Winning is not my primary goal here though, I just like sharing music and if I can get the host to like a few of my songs or even get them to buy/save an album because of it I'm happy.

^ This guy gets it.

Though winning is nice, the primary goal is sharing new music/bands with the host.  I'm on a 2(ish)-year drought myself.  I think I played in 4 or 5 before popping my cherry.

Yeah I do enjoy sharing, I just don't like when I share a song that I think the host will  like and then they don't like it.

Yeah I do enjoy sharing, I just don't like when I share a song that I think the host will  like and then they don't like it.

Suck it up, buttercup.  It's gonna continue to happen so long as you play.

that's basically the roulette standard tbh, people have different tastes

I haven't gotten very many people to like the paramacore I've been listening to lately but I'm still gonna try/end up last in roulettes

Yeah I know. I don't know enough good music I guess.

Which is why I'm hosting one.

Which will lead me to knowing more music.

Which will lead me into listening to said music.

Which will lead me to sharing said music.

Which will lead me to winning.

Mwahaha

I don't know, you seemed to have plenty of music in my roulette and you continue to send stuff in others' roulette that I never heard of, it's just a matter of knowing what crowd you're playing in I guess. Can only speak for myself on this next part, but you probably played most out of my comfort zone out of anyone, not genre-wise because I've gotten some pretty fucked up shit from others, but because I rarely find myself listening to pre 90's music and you gave me lots. You've got me hooked on 3 new albums or something that I've already purchased so yeah, if that counts for anything.

paramacore
Been looking for a word to describe that, thanks.

So i just got a pm about this, and I still really am not ready to do one. I got a ban list and op ready to go, but considering I've worked 18 of the last 19 days , and haven't had a two day weekend in two months, it' wouldn't be prudent to commit at the moment.

Put me on the back burner, and when life eases up a bit, I'll jump back in the fray, I just don't want to start something I can't finish. (my gf gets enough of that dissapointment already :p )

Holy shit, this came up sooner than expected.  Bolsters, can you give me the lonestar special as well?  I hardly have time to even eat these days...  That's a lie I'm still a fat cunt but still, not prudent for me to commit to this right now.
