I don't know if I will have much of a banned list. Weirdly, the only band I have kept tabs on is The Warning, due to finding them on Youtube on that famous Metallica video and starting to like their songs little by little. Also, DT and Neal Morse are out. And no hour long epics

No matter how many players there are, RJ will still have plenty more j-metal bands to send.

But we can at least use up all the good ones.

I don't think it's that bold, there's a lot of music from Japan, I could easily do it as well.  Some may or may not appear in RJ's roulette...

I sound like a broken record at this point but I've been meaning to get a roulette going, just not sure when it will happen. With each roulette I take part in I see how many artists I'm completely unfamiliar with and feel like I need to get to know more. Will carve out a time and get the prep work going to see where I stand for a long haul commitment.

It doesn't have to be a long haul commitment. You can decide how many songs you have to get through.
Do you have the time to listen to a 90 minute playlist 4 or 5 times in a week? A lot of guys are having two week rounds. I think that's were you get into the long haul commitment.
To me it should be a 8-10 week thing. That's not long haul. But you do have to be a fair bit committed to it.

I'd consider a 8-10 week run a long haul for me personally. I don't mind doing it, I just need to sit everyday and spend some time on it. I want it to be fun and not feel like work. That's where my conflict lies.

Yeah, I get it. I always do 8 rounds, and I know for me, and I keep a pretty good pace, that once I get to rounds 5-6, I feel like..OK I've had enough!


You could always just do a 6 Rounder, a sort of mini roulette.

James, just a suggestion...you'll get all of the usual suspects again, and will likely be overflowing with the add-ons. You might want to consider a hard cap for participants, maybe guaranteeing spots for those that couldn't get into this one, and give  the remaining spots maybe on how we all place in the current roulette. Like if you have room for 6 or 8 more, maybe take the top 6-8 from your current roulette and add to the noobs.

Just a thought..

Good idea. I know Stadler and faizoff wanted in, and Litho gave me some ideas so I'd like him in as well. From there I would like some more noobs and we can grab some from the current one if they want to try again, starting from the winner down.
