Tomi's is effectively done, we're just waiting for him to post the results of the final round...any day now.

That leaves three active roulettes, ariich's, Crow's, and mine.  Given the pace so far I won't be shocked if ariich actually gets to his final round before I get to mine, I'm still in round 10 of 14.  I would estimate we'll have an open third slot probably in July for someone else (wolfking?, Evermind?, Lethean?)
I mentioned before that I was planning to run one, but waiting until I can dedicate enough time to keep the timing consistent. We'll see  :corn July might be a good time for that.

I'd love to play and would have no issue sending stuff from any genre really. But if it's first come first served, I can't guarantee I'll be online at the right time.

Prelims might be another way to do it if you get too many people wanting to participate.

Or I can just grandfather you in now

Tentative list...

Puppies
Litho
Rich
King
Jingle
Reap

I’d obviously be up for this.
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Winger Theater Forums........or WTF.  ;D
TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now? :lol

Have Ariich send you his hangman spreadsheet. And teach you how to use it. It's actually pretty easy. It's what I use.

There still seems to be high demand for roulettes at the moment.  I wonder if we should consider having four active at once?  Three seems to generally be the precedent for the number to have at a time, but having not been part of the earlier history, I don't know what challenges having an extra one going brings and how that's panned out, and whether it's worth reevaluating.

Personally I rather like 3 at a time, with some overlap (so therefore temporarily 4) when one is in its final round.

No need to splurge all at once and then things go quiet. :P

EDIT: Also I'm very much looking forward to seeing Tim send RJ some rap music.

I just wonder given that from what I could tell reading through this thread, there have been times in the past with no active roulettes and no one interested in hosting, whereas now we have at least four who've expressed some interest in hosting in the near future, the last half dozen or more have all had 15+ participants, and lonestar's future one is already nearing capacity on less than a day's notice.

The only way I'll do eliminations is if there's massive interest. If it sticks to around 12 peeps I'll just run with it.

Also if someone could pm me the spreadsheet so I can get cozy with it I'd appreciate it.

I can send you all the stuff. Should be reasonably straightforward if it's just single-song submissions I think. There's a tab explaining how to use it (which I've refined following "user testing" with Litho and Tim recently :lol) plus if you have any questions or anything isn't working right, I'm always a PM or Facebook message away.

Back in the roulette hey-days, we'd have a year long waiting list of 10+ hosts.  I remember more than a few people found that playing in more than 3 at a time can be less than satisfying.  Hosting while playing in a bunch at the same time also poses challenges.

Three at a time feels like the right number, imo.

Ok, I've got a format typed up, and am limiting to 12 participants. I will be having genre rounds (jazz/blues, foreign language/indigenous, and pop/rap) so please have something in your arsenals specific to those rounds. I think I'll start after Litho and Tomi finish, they're both close it seems..

If you don't mind having King Gizzard sent in every round, I'm in. They literally play all the genres, so it's perfect.

I've wondered how to get some kind of team roulette going.  Something more than just by age or geography, and some way to require a light but not extensive amount of cooperation/coordination.  I don't know if anything like that has been successfully pulled off before.

I feel like we did that in a roulette semi recently... Can't remember which one though.

425's kind of, but it was really more pools than teams.  And basically just for purposes of scoring/ranking, no real direct interaction other than banter.  Even something like that is definitely kind of cool, and I probably would have enjoyed it even more if I knew everyone better at the time.  Dunno if there was something before that.

I think I want to start a Roulette, been a long time and I fell out of checking out new music for maybe 8 years. Maybe I will pose that limit on it, stick to newer stuff only to see what I missed. Let me know if I can get on the wait list.
