Well anyone interested can have a couple weeks to prepare and I will also take that time to generate the banned lists. I'm going with something simple and familiar; submissions must be from albums/EPs released in 2018, 2019, or 2020. I have not decided on the number of rounds yet but it will not be a particularly long roulette, so probably just five or six.

So it's been over 4 years since my roulette and seeing as we are in a serious roulette drought I'm thinking about running another. I'm concerned for Parama's mental wellbeing if he doesn't participate in one soon.

I've wanted to do one for a while but was reluctant as my life will get in the way of keeping up a fast pace. But hey, a slow roulette is better than none right? Plus we've had a fair bit of new blood joining recently so good to see what gets chucked my way.

If you're worried about a slow roulette, do 5-6 rounds instead of the "usual" 8. Kinda regret not doing that with my last one.

I avoided Roulettes for many years. I couldn't figure out how they worked and have a hard time following long-form threads. Then one day I just said f---it, I want in. It was great fun and I still listen to quite a bit of the music that was submitted.

Wow that long?! If there is a lull in the roulette calendar I would be happy to do another. It won't be till school starts in the fall though.

So, the thread on favourite albums from each year is revealing how much more music I know from 2000 onwards than from the last century. It's like, pre-70s very very little, 70s-80s still not much, 90s a bit more, and then 2000+ shitloads of music.

I know that modern production and stylings is generally more my thing, which largely explains it, but still the difference is vast and in my roulettes I do get sent some older gems, just most people don't send me that stuff (except Stadler

).

So I'm thinking of doing a small-ish "fogeys roulette". Six rounds, first three rounds limited to pre-1990, two rounds pre-2000, and then final round unrestricted. Any interest?
