Thanks for trying to fill my slots already  :lol You should wait until I post my banned list, it has grown quite a bit, this will be more of a "find a very deep cut or something out of the left field"-kinda roulette.

No clue what you like but I'm up for sending my garbage your way  :metal
Scorpion won my first roulette, and Elite did amazing. I listen to a lot of new prog and melodic metal, growls included. Also I'm this board's most Finnish person who isn't actually Finnish :lol

Puppies sent Moonsorrow in round 1.

If Mora's tastes are aligned with Parama's then I have no reason to participate in this roulette  :rollin

He couldn't because they would be banned  :P

It's not a 1:1 match, but a lot of the stuff he's thinking of sending when someone says "deep cuts", they would be on the banned list  I know because they are the exact bands I think about when someone tells me to send them those.

Add me on RYM, I have plenty of totally obscure artists to send but I can use your ratings as a banlist/taste guide  :corn
hmf, I don't have one yet. Maybe that can be my two week project. If I don't make it, I'll just bold what I really like, or the cornerstones of my taste.

i'd run roulettes constantly if it wasn't kind of exhausting to constantly be listening to stuff & then having to check out a billion albums after

if i didn't have work i'm sure i'd probably just run a year-long roulette or something insane because i could afford to but such is time

I've thought about starting/running an EP/Concept album thread where people could submit their own created ep's and concept albums for peer review. Not exactly sure how I'd want to run it though. Maybe come up with a basic theme every month and have people submit stuff, no banned lists, no other restrictions. Just to see what people come up with. Not sure how many people would participate though. :corn

i have an insatiable hunger for EP creating

i've also tossed around the idea of running like, a group roulette where everyone submits one song a month & then everyone participating stack-ranks all the other songs (or just like the top 5 or 10). maybe not a cumulative scoring thing so much as a "whoever gets the most points each month is the champion for that month" sort of idea, i feel like cumulative with that setup wouldn't work very well  :lol

it's kinda similar to a game that's run on another site i still occasionally frequent

I think both of those are cool ideas. I want to run another roulette eventually but I just have way too much to listen to for that atm

As I recently said in Parama's roulette a few days ago:

that's the idea  :tup

i just really love putting together EPs/albums like this tbh. someone else host an EP roulette so i can have the time of my life. i was gonna make an ariich EP just for the lolz but he told me he's running a roulette fairly soon so i didn't
Haven't decided when yet. Might give myself a bit more time to finish exploring artists from my last 2 roulettes (almost finished properly exploring all the 8.5+ scoring artists including from post-roulette submissions, but want to explore more of the 8.0s as well) and then start my next roulette in August when I get back from my holiday so I can dedicate time and attention to it. But yeah there's a good chance I'll steal Puppies' greatest hits and concept album ideas!

Definitely going to run another one and I think it'll be primarily an album roulette again because honestly they just work so much better for me. But I might play around with it a bit more. But yeah I want a bit more time to more fully check out artists from the last two roulettes before I start a new one so I can have a clean slate this time.

Ariich is a freak, or somehow has more hours in the day than everyone else.
I be am boner inducing.

I mean I could run one for funsies not for actual music discovery like my last two but I'd rather wait a while tbh.

Tomislav and home sent me some amazing music in my album roulette and I've been wishing they'd host one

That made me realize I forgot to continue guessing that shit. I remember there were at least two more Anthriel songs and something else and I just abandoned that because no one else did their guessing.

I'm also curious about that concept album.

Yeah, it's on my list of things to finish. Been super busy at work and also trying to catch up a bit on my new album playlist. I just need to find some time to write down my thoughts on it. I'll get to it, I promise. Just not sure exactly when at the moment.
