Me too! I've always wondered how people could sit down and study for hours on end at school, I couldn't do it, I'd have to focus really hard and be deliberate.

Now it's spoiled into things I enjoy, for example I love riding my motorcycle, I'll get on and drive for a few minutes and think about how awesome it would be to go paddle boarding, do that, then I think about how awesome it'd be to play The Witcher. I can't focus on things I enjoy let alone work.

Same. It's not that I'm necessarily lazy, or have a short attention span, I'm just often so easily distracted and bored and forget what I was doing entirely.
I often have trouble getting a solid 10 minutes of work in without being distracted by internet or whatever else. I use a little timer program on my computer to try to keep track of my time, which has helped a bit, if I remember to use it.

It's so frustrating, because I know I could achieve so much if my stupid brain could actually put in the same amount of work in a day as even the average person can.

It's a small free program called SnapTimer (for Windows). I have it pinned to the taskbar, and once it's open it stays on top of other windows. I just leave it in the corner running, and it makes me a lot more aware of getting work done in a set time. My only problem is getting myself to use it in the first place.

I refuse to ever install that crap on my PC, but I have it on a shame Mac in the corner for if I absolutely need it (which is rarely).

No I've always known it, it's just annoying me more than usual today.

I only have it installed to manage my iPod, otherwise I wouldn't have it installed at all either.

The only thing I've used it for is managing iThings too, like if I have to update iOS or swap over to a new iThing.

You saw it? I thought the .gif was broken. It works on my computer but ever since I uploaded it to DTF, I haven't seen it change even once.

Now that I'm trying to count it, it's gone over 5 minutes without doing anything. Did you make it yourself? What did you set for the delay? Maybe it isn't set to loop? I don't know. I saw it change twice, but now it's being shy.

It's set not to loop, but that was intentional.

Thing is even if I were to shift+refresh the page (to force the browser to redownload everything) it still doesn't change from the first frame at all for me.

I just used some lousy online web applet to make it because I couldn't be bothered downloading real software.

If I shift+refresh the page, it works again fine for me, takes about 20 seconds. But otherwise I think it keeps track of it so it doesn't loop when I refresh the page regularly. I'd make it loop just to be safe. But I approve of the laziness.

Yeah, I should fix it. I thought the problem might have been the excessive delay I used (50,000ms

). I was considering making a better version anyway that changes between the original photograph instead of the glasses one.

I like the idea of using the same photo in this case. Before I tried refreshing the page and checked how long until it looped, and it was over 5 minutes with nothing, so I don't think the problem is the delay, I think the looping is stopping it. Although the idea of someone spotting it at a glance, then never seeing it again is kind of amusing. You'd think you were going crazy.

That's why I did it.

I also wanted the demonic image to have a much shorter delay but I couldn't find an applet that would let me.

I considered multiple identical frames, but originally I wanted the demonic image to be visible for only a second or two, and I would have needed a ton of frames so that it didn't appear too often. I wasn't sure the resulting image would be accepted by the forum due to filesize, so I went with the fewer frames and a high delay as a compromise to keep the size of the image down.

However I've just tested the waters and the filesize limit on avatars is much higher than I thought it was, so I could have done it. No point now though, can't be bothered making it again and the secret is out.

I'm heading out into the field. The metrocard machines at the subway station at Citi Field are down and they want that up before tomorrow for obvious reasons. Thanks to Verizon this has been a running issue for about a month. I go there today to make sure they fixed what they were supposed to fix...again.
