Damn writer's strike! On the plus side, QoS still had an amazing soundtrack, one of my favourites. Speaking of which, I'll have to see if the Spectre soundtrack is out yet. I knew the Skyfall soundtrack very well before I ever saw the movie, so that was an interesting first watch.

QoS was *ok* on first watch and a bit better on second viewing. I went to see it with my Dad and it was the shortest Bond movie to date at about 100 minutes but felt really long.

However - Spectre is 2 hours and 20 minutes and at no point does it drag or do you think " Oh it's this bond trope - can we get this scene over with ? "

I've only seen QoS once, at the cinema, and thought it was ok. Not great or memorable, but I didn't think it was total crap either. I didn't realize it was shorter, but it makes sense since they barely had a script.

I've avoided seeing too much about Spectre aside from the first teaser ages ago, so it will be nice to watch it fresh. I know it has Batista, and that's about it.

Bautista is brutal in this film. He's like Jaws.

EDIT : I did wonder whether they got him in Spectre because his name in GOTG was "Drax" - the villain from Moonraker.

I haven't seen GOTG, I'm just glad Batista is far away from wrestling.

I was hoping he'd be more of a Jaws type role (with hopefully not a ton of dialogue). Interesting bit of trivia with the names.

I don't consider that a spoiler, but I'm very glad to hear it. That's exactly the kind of role I was envisioning for him in the movie.

I'm currently listening to Half In The Bag do a commentary of Return Of The Jedi. I dont have the film but it's just funny listening to Rich, Jay and Mike talking anyway.

I love seeing the river at high tide so I've been checking when the highest tide was and it was tonight and OMFG..

There's a path which runs adjacent to the river to get to the wildlife reserve. IT WAS UNDERWATER.

I went to the car park by the supermarket which is right on the river...THE RIVER WAS *FLOWING* ACROSS THE CAR PARK.

Not just a bit flooded by high tide...FLOWING RIVER ACROSS THE CAR PARK...

I have a fascination with seeing lots of water where it's not supposed to be and find images of huge ships half in the water really fucking creepy.

That's awesome! We often get flooding here when we get the lunar tides. Since we are so close to sea level salt water will start coming up through the storm drains.
