This Saturday's birthday bash is rolling up quickly. Looks like I'm now going to be smoking pork on Friday, then smoking more pork and brisket on Saturday. Gonna be a tiring few days. And I still have plenty more yardwork to do this week to prepare for Saturday's festivities. The liquor table is set up, I've juiced limes and made jalapeno syrup for margaritas, all the pork rub is made up and ready, we put together a makeshift "stage" to set up some drums, guitars, and bass, so people can jam if they like, the pool heater will be on probably most of the day, we've premade a boatload of homemade BBQ (aka sloppy joe), buffalo chicken dip, and triple threat macaroni. Off to pick up a keg probably Friday, and I think we'll be close to ready for this. Also, there's still taco dip to make. It's like we're preparing for a bazillion people. But I'd rather have too much than not enough. Looking forward to it!
