I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

Morning folks, back to work today. You know I envy my girlfriend sometimes. She may work 12 hour shifts but she gets 3 to 5 days off in a row at times.

Had an interview for a new restaurant in town today. "Probably" going to have a trial shift on Saturday.

Then if I do well I'll work for a month to see if we both want to continue. :)



Also I might be getting a wee motorcycle to get around on :) :)

That's sweet.

I envy my girlfriend because her job is 5 minutes from our house. I'm already at work an hour away before she even has to wake up. I'd love to have 4 days off a week, but I feel like I'd end up pissing money away left and right out of bordem.

Update !  Dad has said he'll get me a bike and pay for my training if I sell  my Gibson SG to pay him back and I was like :  :lol Err fuck yeah ?!

I'd much rather be short of one guitar ( I have two others ) and have my own transport !! No brainer IMO.

I'll be much more available for jobs with my own transport. Instead of " Oh - i'd love this job but I can't get there - oh well :( "

My Dad already has to pay my rent for one month whilst they advertise my old flat for new tenants.

I was thinking of selling the SG anyway to pay him back so when he goes " Do you want to sell your SG and get a motorbike instead with 1 years MOT and all

the training ? " I didn't even have to think about it.  :biggrin:

I've always wanted my own transport but :

a.) Getting lessons.
b.) Doing all the tests.
c.) Getting a car, insurance, MOT etc, petrol & Maintenance...would be upwards of £2,000.


Excited now :).

I'll keep everyone updated. What I really really  want ( besides a zig a zig ah , obviously ) - is a new job and my own place - living here near the beach and family. :)
