Difference is you get it via local broadcast. I just had to pay $3 to stream it (radio broadcast) on my phone.
I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

Why would you do that?  I listened to it on the Internet.  Just about every radio station has a free live stream on the Internet.

Fun programming problem today. Skinned meshes can't be used as rigidbodies because the vertices are still under the influence of the parent bones, so I'm trying to iterate through an array of skinned meshes, then within that iterate through an array of the bone objects and set them to null. This idea doesn't seem to work so far. Hopefully I don't have to resort to creating a second mesh without the skinning, because the transition would be obvious. :blob:

I know exactly what the problem is, it's just really nitty gritty stuff to modify the parameters I need.

Basically I need an animated Lego man to explode into individual pieces that will then be under the influence of the physics engine. Technically, it works, but visually the parts all stay in place because they're still under the influence of the bone skinning. I can't figure out a way to remove the skinning in runtime so that it works. Pain in the ass.

Oh I'm long past asking it nicely. It does not play nice. :lol

Now I'm going to try iterating through every single child object and deleting every bone, and seeing what happens. I have no idea what a skinned mesh will do if you delete its bones, if it will even let me, but we'll soon find out.

That's about what I feel like doing right now. :lol

It appears that deleting the bones also deletes the dependent meshes. Dang.

There must be a way to create them as separate entities, no?

To create them as separate entities would seemingly require rebuilding the objects from scratch through code, which would be a major pain to do in realtime.

I have a new idea. Instead of trying to delete the bones, just split the bones at the points I need it to separate, and use the bones as the physics objects, instead of the meshes themselves. It's a bit more setup work, but I think it will work.

MLB blocks the broadcasts. That was my first thought... listen to WEEI on the Web but they tell you to piss off if there's a Sox game on.

They just broadcast generic ESPN talk radio online during the games.

With enough searching, anything is possible.   :D   I just feel bad that you had to pay to listen to it.   Next time, let me know and I'll point you in the right direction.  I went to a site that had a whole listing of broadcasts for the game from around the country.

I don't mind it. I like the At Bat app. 3$ a month or $20 for the season. Now I just need to find a way to listen to it w/out exceeding my data cap. Lol Last night I was on my WiFi. This morning I will be on LTE. I smell throttling in my near future again. :lol

I purchased the At Bat app last year actually, but then never remembered to use it to watch random games.  Data isn't an issue for me, since I've been with Nextel then Sprint  since I got my first cell phone about 20 or so years ago.

I get 2.5 gb of LTE and then it drops down to shit speeds.

Panda's dad has an MLB TV sub that we use to watch games on the Roku at home... so I would probably only use At Bat for these pesky 10am games (well... 1pm your time) games on Saturdays.

Reminds me of the stuff I was writing at your age, young'un. (Although I only ever wrote one orchestrally piece). I only listened to a few minutes, but it had some interesting tonalities in there, a bit whole tone at one point.
