I'm back to the grind unforunately. I would have loved to have been away longer but it was out of my hands. I started my new job in February. I get 4 weeks of PTO a year, but I need to accrue it. Each check I get 'x' amount of hours toward my vacation time. Seeing as I haven't even been here two months, I only had three days saved up to that point. I didn't want to use it all right away incase I need a sick day.

Morning guys!

So my supervisor (and I, even though all I am doing is providing comical commentary) are going through a couple resumes of potential hires. Out of all the phone calls made, only one person who answered lives in Oakland. The job is in Oxnard, Ca. Oakland is like a 6 hour fucking drive. This is a part time job at $10/hr w/out benefits of any kind.

We told him we are having interviews tomorrow AM and applications need to be picked up and filled out before hand. He says he'll be here.

Hey. The last two days I've woken up around 8-9pm and gone to bed around midnight. It's an odd feeling. I feel like I'm wasting the whole night!

I've always said if we get the recommended 8 hours of a sleep each night, that means we would be sleeping for literally 1/3 of our lives. It seems like such a waste of time.

With the amount of sleep we require to function, I don't think cutting down your sleep further gains you anything. The sad fact is a large portion of our lives is tied up by sleeping, until we create an awesome pill to replace sleep (you know, that isn't crack or something

Well I'm not talking drastic cutbacks, but maybe one hour less a night. Just think of how much more time we could all spend on DTF.
