Another awesome test, and one that I believe would make the world a much better place if we focused on it is the "Strengthsfinder" test. Set up by Gallup, with over 60 years of research- it truly focuses in on an individuals strengths or as they call them "talents".
I'm trying this free test, but it's damn too long :lol . I'm curious about its results though - will comment when I finish it.

EDIT: So these are my top strenghts:

1&2) Ideation & Intellection: 98 out of 100 points on both, sick. But they pretty much describe me. The tips for these are great, but I find them difficult to apply in my current situation - I guess that's where most of my frustrations in life come from.
3) Activator: I guess I'm pretty good at starting projects - I have lots going on all the time, but I'm not so sure about this one. It's realt tough for me to finish something I started.
4, 5, 6 & 7) Input, Learner, Restorative, & Significance: What a pleasant surprise to discover how well the first two describe me. And although the last two fit me, I found it a bit awkward that all these 4 had the same score, 87 :lol .

ISFJ-T.

My results have changed quite a lot since the last time I took a test like this.  It's actually amazing how much I've changed (or learned about myself) in the past eleven months.

I just got around to reading the detailed results.  I think they're fairly accurate for me.  There were some parts that felt a little off base to me, but there were also parts that seemed to be written about me specifically.
Sincerely,
Jaffa

I've taken loads of personality tests and, most of the time, I'm an ISTJ.

Strengths are Honest and Direct, Strong-willed and Dutiful, responsible, and Calm and Practical.

Weaknesses are Stubborn, insensitive, Judgmental, and Often Unreasonably Blame Themselves (I know I do that a lot of times in life).

This part under Romantic relationships also makes sense to me.

Quote
Blind dates and random hookups are not ISTJs' preferred methods for finding potential partners. The risk and unpredictability of these situations has ISTJs' alarm bells ringing, and being dragged out for a night of dancing at the club just isn't going to happen. ISTJ personalities much prefer more responsible, conservative methods of dating, such as dinner with an interested coworker or, in their more adventurous moods, a setup organized through a mutual friend.

INFP-A (The Mediator)

The description sounds (for the most part) pretty accurate to me.

INTP as always.  Over the years, I think I've shifted from being very P with very little J to it maybe being more like 2:1.  I think that was always there, it's just that circumstances/upbringing led to suppression of the J tendencies.  The other three are not even close to the middle.

the T/A variants are interesting (I only know about these from Jackie posting/explaining on FB).  My result was a preference for A (which is also true in the T&A sense!).

Assertive individuals are emotionally stable, calm, relaxed, refuse to worry too much.
Turbulent individuals are self-conscious, care about their image, success-driven, perfectionists.

I see a strong resonance with P/J on these, though it doesn't cover everything.  I also see this as being a little more behavioral than inherent.  By these definitions, I used to be very T, but now, I'm much more A, albeit with a strong drive for success (although, that could be that need to feel competent, which is one of the big drivers for INTP).

I've had some training in LIFO, which is a behavioral analogue of MBTI; it's used organizations sometimes.  In this system, there are four categories, and 90 points split up between them.  From taking the assessment, you wind up identifying your "most preferred", "backup" and "least preferred" styles.  The categories are: Supporting/giving (keyword: Excellence), Controlling/taking (keyword: Action), Conserving/Holding (keyword: Reason), and Adapting/dealing (Keyword: Harmony).  These can change over time (as they are behavioral), and excesses/extremes can be moderated.  My scores typically come out something like 22/26/30/12.  Anyone else here done this?

Same here
And here

And here.....INTJ's make up only 2% of the population and are almost exclusively male.  They are the smallest grouping as measured by % of population.

I guess we could also add they are attracted to Dream Theater!

If you want complex music, go listen to some classical  :lol

Structurally, Dream Theater's music isn't that complex even if they do use crazy time signatures and technical passages

Interesting, my daughter is an INTP and we have so much in common and are so close, but when we disagree it goes nuclear VERY quickly.  She can't understand why I see "right and wrong" as a big part of the equation when decision making and she can't understand why I can't see past that to the underlying causes and motives.

By musical analogy, INTP and INTJ in a close relationship is like an F# being played against an F...so close, so much in common, but a couple of key differences get REALLY magnified and can create a lot of tension.

I'm lucky in that I'm married to my perfect match..an ENFP.

https://www.16personalities.com/free-personality-test

So its been a couple years since I first did the personality test, so I decided to do a retake since I was curious if it had changed at all. It still came back as INTJ, but honestly if anything has changed I feel like I've become way more extroverted, or at the very least I can warm up to people WAY faster then say 10 years ago. That's the only difference though.

Do you guys feel like you've grown in different directions from your original personality, or would you say its about the same?
