Came out of a discussion I had with friends. It seemed to us that iPhones had far more often a cracked screen than Android phones.

I'd be willing to bet that a good amount of people willing to throw money at an iPhone tend to be a tad more careless with them.

I've had an Iphone for 2 years, and I have a case. The screen is fine.

80% of my friends who have an Iphone outright refuse to put a case on it and their screens are all kinds of messed up.

I owned the Galaxy 5S for 4 months. Lucky for me that glorious, non cracked awesome screen was not cracked but stolen. Because that was my upgrade, I was given a used I-Phone 4 and I cracked the screen the 3rd day I had it.

Oh and it's 3G. I hate me.

Don't have a smartphone, and don't want one. But I remember back 3 or so years ago each and every one of my friends with an iPhone, had their screens cracked. That doesn't seem to be the case anymore. But I'm not sure if that's because they're being made better these days, or because my friends actually learned to take proper care of their devices.

4+ year old Galaxy S with no case and a perfect screen. The secret is. . .don't drop it.

I suspect MJ is partly correct about iPhone people being more haphazard with their phones. It's probably also the case that iPhone geeks wont replace their beloved gadgets with anything except the newest model, so they use cracked ones for a while.

Any phone I've ever gotten I immediately go to the 'Ghost Armor' kiosk in the mall and have it laminated with that product. It's been very good to me.....

I got an iPhone 4s when it first came out and I still have it and it still looks the same as the day as it came out of the box. I of course have also had a protector on it from day 1, although I've had a few different kinds. I'm finally going to upgrade within the next couple months to a 6. Even though I'm tiring of Apple products, sadly every single person I know and speak to has one, and it is therefore both financially and practically best to have one as well.

Oh, and I chose Kevin more because when given the chance to Moore, you should Moore.

S5, no cracks. Along with the whole not dropping it thingy, I also paid full cash for it so I baby it, and as well have a thin glass screen protector that supposedly will crack instead of the actual screen. Haven't had to see if that's actually the case thankfully.

Android, not cracked. I've never had a phone screen crack. Whereas almost every iPhone owner I know has had a cracked screen at some point. I think a better poll would be whether you've ever had a cracked screen, as I imagine most people would get their screen repaired or replaced if it's cracked.

Had a protective case for my Galaxy S4 since day one but for some reason I constantly accidently drop all kinds of things BUT my phone but the case is awesome as a stand for my phone when I watch videos!

Galaxy S3 and it's cracked. I've had it about 1-2 years before it finally cracked after how many times I dropped it.

I'm usually very careful with my smartphones. I never use one whilst walking unless i'm just in a phone call.

I've dropped two iPhones though several times onto a very hard surface and they've not cracked or even scratched.

I dropped my one Android phone onto a hard surface and it all but exploded.

My Android was cracked when I got it (my uncle's friend who works at Teleco built it for me from spare parts for free). It's only cracked along the bottom though so I don't even notice it unless I look straight at it. Still, answered cracked.

I've had a Samsung S3 for around 3 years now. I've dropped it several times and it has at least 1 crack on each side but the screen remains untouched. I'm starting to believe it's made out of some alien supermaterial...

My Droid X made it two years without a case and the screen never cracked.

My Droid Razr HD Maxx made it two years without a case and the screen never cracked.

I now have a Droid Turbo without a case and I'm confident it will make it the two years until I upgrade.

Had an S4 that decided to take a swim off a dock at my work. During High Tide. That suicidal fuck. So now I am back to sporting my trusty LG L90. Been in a case and had a screen protector since day 2. It is immaculate.

I have both... I use a Samsung Galaxy S5 Active. It's a tank. I treat it like a brick and it responds in kind. The iPhone 6 Plus is beautiful, but I treat it with a bit more care. Both are perfect phones for my needs. I've used a dozen+ Android and iPhones consistently for years and have both served me well without any complications. I've dropped my previous iPhones plenty of times and haven't had any screen cracking issues. Sure, both have been susceptible to scuffing, case dings and scratches, but the screens were always just fine. Never used cases, either.

I've owned two Andriod smartphones and an iPhone, I've never cracked any screens.

My most recent phone (iPhone 5) has the otterbox, and that's the first time I've ever bought a case.

I just got an upgrade from an iPhone 5S to an iPhone 6 Plus

I've never cracked a screen on any phone, table or laptop.

However, I am 100% positive that will now change
