The Big 4
« on: November 14, 2014, 12:03:09 PM »
An extension of the other thread, I want to know what your big 4 are?

The order was tough for me. Never the less this is how I rank my big 4.

1. Octavarium
2. Illumination Theory
3. Count of Tuscany
4. A Change of Seasons
Yup. Tick is dead on.  She's not your type.  Move on.   Tick is Obi Wan Kenobi

I don't understand the question.

Yeah, since you only listed epics. So is this my top 4 DT songs or top 4 DT epics or just rank those 4 songs?

Sycsa is perhaps the most brilliant and insightful man I have ever encountered.

I'll go with "top 4 songs longer than 12 minutes."

1. Octavarium
2. Lines in the Sand
3. A Change of Seasons
4. Breaking All Illusions

(If I could add 2 more, I would put TCOT and ITNOG.)

2. ITPOE 2
3. Illumination Theory
4. Learning To Live

Seriously though the thread that asks for your one masterpiece.

The big 4 can be whatever ever 4 songs you want in this thread, but epics are always my favorites so those are my choices.

Is "Big 4" the same as "Top 4"? If so, then....

In no order:

1. Octavarium
2. Finally Free
3. Breaking All Illusions
4. Home

To me, "Big 4" has a bit of a different connotation than Top 4. So if they are indeed different things, then:

1. Octavarium
2. Finally Free
3. Breaking All Illusions
4. The Great Debate

In chronological order:

1) A Change of Seasons
2) Octavarium
3) In the Presence of Enemies (you decide)
4) Breaking All Illusions

Is this just a top 4? I'd probably have something like-

Six Degrees
The Glass Prison
Take The Time
Blind Faith / ITNOG

It's so hard to rank them at that level. They're so damn good.
Only King could mis-spell a LETTER.
Yep. I think the only party in the MP/DT situation that hasn't moved on is DTF.

This is so confusing!
In no order:

1)  Breaking all Illusions
2)  Trial of Tears
3)  In The Name of God
4)  Learning to Live

By the way, Scarred would be no where near the top

The Killing Hand has the most vocally sour note in DT history so being a vocalist I can't get past it.
Other than that, quality song.
