*snip*

And Offer Your Light was written with Sky Blue so it will be interesting to hear it!
and Stars from the songwriting stream, he said it will probably be a bonus track, I personally hope so.
ultimately I hope he does something new again with this album, considering its more collaborative this time!   :metal

That's the first I've heard about that. When I spoke to to Beav at the meet in greet back in December 2014, he mentioned they recorded another song with Anneke but didn't include it on Sky Blue. I wonder if that was it. I hope that means Anneke will be on the album.
Imagine her singing the "Hallelujah" part of Truth

I'd like for Stars to be on the main album, and then have the original Demo from the stream as a bonus track.

What is the song at the bottom? I cant read it properly  :-\

"The Occupation"
Most of them are demo titles so I'd take it with a grain of salt.

That's what I was going to say. Looking at letters written on words I can read that'd be my best guess too, even though it's still really messily written, that's the only word that fits after the clearly written 'Occupa'

You don't have to, its on the Retinal Circus.  Kind of makes the redo of Truth pointless unless its a much different version of the song.  But I would really love her to be on the album.

A remake of truth would be okay, but I'd honestly rather have that spot on the album taken up by something new. Judging from recent live performances of the song it wouldn't really be much different than the original, just slower (unfortunately) and with better mixing (hopefully).

Also, I heard the Royal Albert Hall version of The Death of Music for the first time a little while ago, and it's fantastic. The mixing is a heck of a lot better than the original version, and Devin's vocal performance was really great despite him being almost 20 years older. He messed up a few of the lyrics and I wish he went more operatic and less harsh for the final chorus, but that's just me being knit-picky. I'm just happy I've finally got a version of the song I can really enjoy listening to.

I noticed he messed up lyrics as well, I actually really like how he left that stuff on the live album.  You never see that, bands always fix up their mistakes in the studio before a live release, he let them go.  Makes the concert seem more genuine, I like it.  It's live music, it's not always perfect.

The past 2 songs he's re-recorded(Hyperdrive and Kingdom) we're both better than the originals(IMO), so I have faith that it'll be good. Any Dev is good Dev.
But aside from better production and Anneke I can't imagine it being very different.

I'm pretty sure it was a slight mistake but I wouldn't immediately count that as what happened either. I've seen bands randomly change lyrics all the time and subsequent viewings of different concerts confirmed it wasn't a mistake. Sadly in this case there is no way for us to double check this. Not that it's a big deal, I just always found it interesting. Steven Wilson does this quite a bit I've noticed, and it's definitely not mistakes but more of just "hey, I'll use this word instead of this one". Very odd but cool at the same time. Sometimes I'm guessing it's a choice out of phonetics and other times emphasis...and maybe sometimes it was initially a mistake and then they were all "fuck, now I gotta say that for the rest of the tour"  :lol (which I actually doubt ever happens but it'd be awesomely prideful).

Anyway, I agree with Metro in that I love the remakes, especially in Kingdom's case. Hyperdrive I actually prefer the original most of the time; not to say I dislike the remake in any way at all, but the original to me has much more personality in it's production (god I've been saying this a lot today but it's true) and it sounds a lot more space-oriented and isolated. But I'm excited for the Truth remake. Verily!

I have no doubt that will be awesome but I was expecting him to redo something else from Physicist though as he has mentioned quite a few times, especially Planet Rain!  :metal

I really hope he learned a lot from his mix on the latest Intronaut album and applies it to his own music. If the remake of Truth sounds like Z2, there's no point in doing so – it'll sound worse than the original.

Personally, I really like the production on Infinity. It sounds like City. They both need more bass but that's about it.

The case I was referring to was him saying the "my friends and I, there were no others" line a second time, instead of "it's you and I, there are no others". I doubt that was intentional, as it kinda goes against the progression and meaning of the song. :lol

I hope that with the inclusion of Truth into the new DTP album, that he does something different with it. I love the original but it would be interesting if he included new sections or something, he could.
I realised, listening to Infinity a few times in the past few days. That this album will be different from Epicloud and Sky Blue, a break from his pop metal direction? Hopefully we can expect more epic heavy spacey stuff this time.

I love epicloud and sky blue, I'd be fine with an album in the pop/metal direction personally.  But of course his epic heavy stuff would also be awesome.

Indeed, anything is good with me. I still don't get the mostly popular opinion on the production of Z2 in its entirety being poorly produced. I love the sound, especially on Sky Blue. I get that it's different, but I'm not sure how it's bad; it sounds fine to my ears. Erbody be hearin shit durrfrent.

If anything, he needs to play Planet Rain, Tiny Tears, Nobodys Home, Believe, Quietus, Socialisation and The Mighty Masturbator live on the next tour!!!!!!!!!  :metal :metal  :metal

It was a thing of beauty to see him do that live, I hope he leaves it in for a little while longer!

Ok, my dream set for the possibility titled "Transcendence" tour (out of what we know) is:

 (Set 1)
1 Truth
2 March of the poozers
3 Quietus
4 Fallout
5 Offer your light
6 Socialisation
7 Tiny Tears
8 The Mighty Masturbator
9 Stars

 (set 2)
10 Kingdom
11 Midnight Sun
12 Believe
13 Nobodys Home
14 Funeral
15 Bastard
16 The Death of Music

Encore:

17 Planet rain

Or if you want to make it more 'rock n roll', switch Planet Rain and Kingdom around to end on a high note!

Are any of you farting hippy puppets on Hevydevy forums too? I joined it a few years ago but it's members aren't as active  :'(

Still a great place for the Devheads to over analyse Mr Townsend!

I've been meaning to ask this question but I keep forgetting. I'll ask it before I forget (yet, again)  :rollin

What would be the full Ghost tracklisting (including Ghost 2)?

We have the full Ghost album, then we have some tracks on Z2, right? And some of the tracks off Casualties of Cool (mainly the 2nd disc) had some Ghost tracks well, correct?

The full, supposed, tracklisting. This may not be all the songs, and they may not have been in this order, but these are the songs I know exist and were meant for Ghost 2

1. Radial Highway
2. Drench
3. Mend
4. Fall
5. Watch You
6. Moonshine
7. Perspective
8. Coming Home
9. Saloon

Radial Highway was released as an iTunes bonus track for Ghost, and also appeared on Contain Us and the Unplugged EP

Drench and Mend both ended up on the Casualties of Cool bonus disc

Fall was released on Soundcloud, and is on the Unplugged EP

Watch You is on Contain Us

Moonshine and Perspective are on the Casualties of Cool bonus disc

Coming Home, to my knowledge has never been released. It may have been reworked into a Casualties song or a song on Z2. I believe Dev said on Twitter that he was still working on it.

Saloon was played at the Ghost night of By a Thread, as well as pretty much every other acoustic show he's played. An actual studio version has never been released though, aside from the Unplugged EP

He meant "Perspective" in the first instance he said "Coming Home," though I think you understood – just clarifying.

That is indeed all the Ghost material that we know about.

The low traffic saddens me but the subforums allows a lot for indepth album discussions. I've been through so many old threads on that site that I know that it was busy at one time (years ago), Dev and Tracy even participated in conversation at one point (but I guess he has twitter now)
