Interesting take. You use the idea that because it has a similar approach to other albums of the same 'era', it
absolutely cannot be a Ziltoid album. Clearly you're slighted/offended by the albums and they're not for you...but to outright say that DM is not a Ziltoid album because you think that a Ziltoid album should be/sound a certain way is kind of ridiculous. It's definitely a Ziltoid album through and through, given that the guy that
created it made it as such. Now, if Devy came out and created a St. Anger-esque album and slapped the name of Ziltoid on it without the character's name being so much as mentioned, I'd be right there with you.
Perhaps I'm taking the comment the wrong way. It's pretty clear you don't like what direction the band headed in. Don't get me wrong, I'm not arguing either way; I couldn't care less whether the album is universally flamed (

Hell, while I wouldn't mind Transience sounding like the last string of albums, I'd prefer something different and out of left field. I suppose we'll find out soon enough.
