Anyone here doing the US meet and greet? I'm considering it. Is the included CD going to be the two disc version?

Fuck, that chorus is massive and the drumming is superb. I like how the song goes through different moods but yet feels very cohesive, and the guitar solo, while short, is really cool. If all tracks on this album are of the quality of Failure and Secret Sciences, then the only thing that will bring down this album for me is the cover, and if that's the case, then I'll be a very happy camper indeed.

Well, the first two songs are very solid, and the production is excellent. I think we're on to something good here.

I kind of wish the cover for the "Failure" single was the album cover.

Not sure if it's been posted yet, but you can see the tracklist + track lengths on the iTunes store page, including the bonus disk. Looks like the bonus disk getting a re-recording for Victim as well.

Still wish he released Ghost 2 properly. Every tiny bit of music I've heard is just amazing. Even the snippet of "Coming Home" (still unreleased whatsoever) in his riffwork preview video from 2013 is amazing.

Speaking of this video, it looks like the song "Into the Sun" from the upcoming bonus disc is a full version this lovely little snippet: https://youtu.be/d3vLMBmdQNk?t=83  :metal

Happy to see that "Stars" made the track list. Watched the replay of the live stream of Dev recording this song and thought it was awesome. Looking forward to hearing a more polished and final version of it. Those other two tracks that have been released are great as well. Going to have to pick this one up...

Listening/fapping now. Will report back with early impressions. It is a little weird to hear Truth and not have it immediately jump to Christeen or Processional but hey. Truth is such a great song.

Not amazing, but an ok album. I like the remake of Truth, Stormbending, Secret Sciences and From the Heart.

Transdermal Celebration is 3 minutes music and 5 minutes filler...

Transdermal Celebration is a cover (Ween), I personally didn't even bother listening to it. Not that I dislike the original song (never heard it), I just don't care for covers and pretty much consider them bonus tracks.

Good album overall.

Gave a full listen while cleaning the house late yesterday... WOW, I love it on first listen.  Sounds a lot more like one of his older albums than his more recent DTP output (which I loved too).

I'm going to hold out until the album is actually released. Got plenty to keep me going, looking forward to it immensely though. Comes out the same week as Act V by The Dear Hunter so I will only be listening to these two albums that week  :metal

I'm all, did the album get released already. But I'll wait until the album is released. I used to be the early leak must listen now type, but I found it to be much more satisfying waiting patiently until the day of release, unless the artist releases songs on their own merit.

This is the first time in a while that I'll wait for the official release if only to hear Nolly's work in all its glory. Also I've got zero time on my hands and would rather wait for a few hours of nothingness to soak in all the supposed awesomeness this album is bringing. Good to hear the great reactions though.

Kind of my problem, I see him first on the day after release so I did the bad deed so I'd be familiar with the music on time to see him perform songs from it.

I haven't been here in ages, it's really weird now...I haven't listened to Dream Theater at all in 7 months....  :\

Wow. This album is great, start to finish. I even kinda like Stars now (used to REALLY dislike it when he recorded it during the livestream). Might be a contender for my top 3 Devin. Album of the year is still Affinity though.

I'm blown away by this album.

Higher is so out there yet still not the randomness of Deconstruction and I absolutely adore it.

Secret Sciences has such a great chorus, Failure is fantastic, Truth and Stars sound better then ever, and so on.

The best moment of the album for me has to be the transition from the bridge into the final chorus in Stormbending though with a big yell from Devin. So much emotion as that chord hits.

Also, for you Pineapple Thief fans, Failure has a motif that sounds exactly like "So We Row" in it and I'm not sure how I feel about that.

"Sometimes you want to give up the guitar, you'll hate the guitar. But if you stick with it, you're gonna be rewarded."  - Jimi Hendrix

Even though I wish there were a few more heavier moments on the album, it is very solid overall. Most of the songs are instantly likable.

Failure is still the top track of this album for me. The djenty riffs, the vocals, the solo. Everything is perfect and definitely some of Devin's best work ever.

Me too. I miss the heaviness and the screams of Accelerated Evolution or Terria.
