My daughter will be born in two weeks

Yesterday the doc said he wants to deliver at 38 weeks, which will be the week of my son's birthday (not what we wanted, but what can we do?!). He's still excited to be a big brother, though.

As prepared as we should have been, we were somewhat taken aback by that declaration, but we'll obviously make it work and welcome our new little one the best way we can.

Just thought I'd share.

W00t!

Will it be a scheduled C-section?  We had that with my youngest daughter.  They took her at 38 weeks, and she still weighed in at 9 lbs 11 3/4 oz.

At the moment the doc has not confirmed one way or another. At the ultrasound earlier this week, she measured 6lbs 15oz, with an estimate that she'd reach 8lbs. Eric was 8 lbs and SHOULD have been a C-section but wasn't. My money is on it being a scheduled C-section but we don't know yet.

Wicked cool Drew!  Although, I gotta say... glad it's not me.  I'm way passed the age I could handle raising a child.  Teenage jingle.kids are more than enough.

You youngins go and enjoy the fruits of your loins.

Just don't invite Doc to the baby shower.   :lol

Exciting news!! It was fascinating to me all three times after my kiddos were born at how your mind completely forgets what it's like to have an infant......not trying to scare you  :lol  but it's just weird that every child felt like 'the first time' when they were in that newborn infant phase.

May your wife and (soon to come) daugher have a smooth, stress free delivery......and I hope the recovery from delivering a child is smooth sailing as well for your wife. Enjoy the new addition!!
