ROYAL HUNT will release their new studio album – “Dystopia” – on December 9th via King Records (Japan/SE Asia) and on December 18th via NorthPoint Productions (Europe/N & S America). A concept album offering a considerable expansion of the band´s trademark sound and featuring performances by guest vocalists: Mats Leven (Candlemass, TSO, Skyblood), Mark Boals (Y.J. Malmsteen, Ring of Fire), Henrik Brockmann (Royal Hunt, Evil Masquerade, N´Tribe), Kenny Lubcke (Narita, Zoser Mez) and Alexandra Andersen (Royal Hunt, JSP).

“Dystopia” will be released in following formats: regular CD (jewel case), various Deluxe editions / bundles and a gatefold, heavy vinyl LP. Pre-ordering campaign has started.

ROYAL HUNT keep intriguing fans with their adventurous endeavors and the band´s 15th studio album is no exception: a monumental concept opus featuring symphonic, progressive yet hard hitting compositions full of impeccable performances, wrapped tightly into immediately accessible format and a lush, contemporary production.

The addition of some extraordinary guest singers and their outstanding performances combined with vastly extended orchestrations creates a truly conceptual, cinematic feel throughout each and every track.

Frontiers threads wife has been sleeping with Hard Rock thread for a while now.  She liked the classy, well presented yet still quite manly nature early on but over the years he's been disappointing in bed and can't get it up anymore.  She moved onto a more manly man.

Hard Rock thread now hoping the death metal or melodic death metal threads don't get noticed too much or else he could be trouble.  She's loving the testosterone and may want to take it up a notch again!  Hard Rock thread needs to keep delivering.  Not sure Royal Hunt is going to do it though.

One of the past couple of RH albums was good. Devils Dozen maybe. It wasn’t quite purchase worthy, but I’ll give this a spin when it drops.

I haven’t really loved a Royal Hunt album since DC Cooper came back. I just don’t love his voice. I much preferred John West. I think the Fear album made my top 50.

Last few albums have been ok, nothing outstanding.

I gave a couple of songs of the Armored Saint a go at the weekend. WSnt wowed, but I’ve never been a big fan.

I can't seem to find any evidence that I listened/ranked their 2018 release, Cast in Stone.  I did enjoy Devils Dozen - but that was 5 years ago.  Wow, didn't know it was that old.

The only material I think I heard from Royal Hunt was from Paradox.  I think from what I remember, that's their best known album?  I remember reading that DC Cooper and Ralf Sheepers were two of the finalists to replace Rob Halford in the mid 90s.  I'm not sure if they actually auditioned in front of Priest.

Pretty sure Ralf did.  I thought it was only Ralf and Tim that auditioned?  I could be way off.

And yeah, Paradox is their most popular and possibly best album.

From what I remember, DC and Ralf were the top two until they saw Rippers tape.
