I bolded the albums that made The TAC Top 10. Slayer and Motorhead are both on the bubble.

There are a couple on there that I want to check out. I wasn't that impressed with the QR though. I want to check out the Cradle of Filth, Amorphis, and Kamelot. I'm even curious about the Fear Factory. I would put the Maiden above QR, and place the SyX higher, but not that much higher.

I thought the Kamelot was really bland and boring.  The Amorphis is amazing.

Kamelot is one of those bands that either you love what they do, or you don't get the point. So, I'm not surprised to hear you say that. The Amorphis release I'll check out on Spotify tonight.

I'm a huge Kamelot fan but the last two albums have done nothing for me.  Has nothing to do with Tommy, just the songwriting has been below par IMO.  I am a huge fan of everything up to Poetry.

I thought Silverthorn was mediocre, but absolutely loved Haven.

I fear for the day when something happens on the right that is SO nuts that even Stadler says "That's crazy".

March 25th release date!

I like the tune. I hope Howe hits some high notes in the primary vocal lines on this album. It's pretty controlled here with the higher stuff in the background.

Love this guy's voice though. I cannot wait for this album.
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Winger Theater Forums........or WTF.  ;D
TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now? :lol

Cool tune!!

It is. But if this is the best tune, I'm going to be disappointed. But I'm sure it's not. I do like it though.

That song was okay.  Pretty generic but cool enough.  If this is the best song though, I probably wouldn't bother.

Didn't do much for me. Never got into MC back in the day. They sort of seemed a bit amateurish?
Didn't like the guys voice on this.

Edit

Just having a listen to The Dark and I'm enjoying the songs and the vocals are great. The production isn't helping it one bit though.

Finally listening to the new Stryper for the first time.  Up to Heaven and it's a immense track.  So far, so really good.  The first two were killer too.

A local reviewer's comment on the new Megadeth

Kiko is all over this album with his soloing. IMO he's probably the best fit for Dave's writing since Marty was in the band. His Brazilian background shines through and there are some very latin / melodic phrases all over the place here.

There are some classic Megadeth tracks on offer too."Poisonous Shadows", "The Emperor", "Lying In State", and "Death From Within" are absolute smoking tracks with "Poisonous Shadows" easily being in my top 5 Megadeth tracks ever now.

The three songs released so far are good but nowhere near as good as what is on the rest of the album.

Chris Adler is an absolute beast on this album. I'm going to say it right now, this is (musically) the most talented line-up they've ever had. Hopefully Dave keeps it together!

Aside from being a bit of a Megadeth fanboi (which is probably a good thing in some ways) ........yes , what I have seen is credible.

Another PF song.

I'm getting quite an old school PF vibe from these last three songs, yet The End is Near seems like a newer direction.
