Had mentioned this a couple months ago in the Listening thread. This is power metal from Finland, quite melodic but with enough heft (at least for the genre). It has sort of unassumingly found a pretty stable spot in my listening this year. Had it on today and I figured the people frequenting this thread might enjoy it too. The vocals, the playing, the production and the melodies are all very good. Nothing particularly new, but lots of nice flavors - from Avantasia (the chorus in The Ones to Fall!), Blind Guardian (Soul Reaver) and Priest (Nighthunter), plus more than a bit of Stratovarius. Pretty much every song works quite nicely.

Yep, but thankfully, I don't expect anything out of the box from a band like this, I just love everything they do. The chorus on this one is stunning.

Iron Savior are definitely generic but dependable. I guess what got me into them heavily was the Kai Hansen factor. As a band that's had so many albums now though, they hold up pretty damn well.
