Not that Bon Jovi is hard rock, but I don't know where else to put it, but...

I was seeing mentions of him totally sucking and even lip synching on his current tour. I've watched a few vids and he is fucking dreadful.

Bon Jovi had been terrible for ages but yeah - some of the 2021-2022 footage is beyond horrendous.  There has to be something wrong with him , whether it be some sort of degenerative illness or (more likely) deafness but he is so far off in terms of pitch/timing it's embarrassing to watch.

In recent weeks apparently he has suddenly improved quite a bit (not saying much) and is turning his back on the audience for most of the show and won't take the mic away from his mouth.  Draw your own conclusions.

This actually reminds me of when Frontiers were putting out solid melodic rock.  Good song.

Just spun this today.  Yeah, this was most excellent.  Spot on comment, Kade.  Reminded me of Shaft of Steel.  Will definitely be looking for this when it's fully released.

A recent performance actually popped in my Youtube feed as I was scrolling last night so I watched it.  Fuck, has something happened to him?  It's like he's lost a part of his brain or something.  His singing was bad and since it was Living on A Prayer he didn't much in the back half of the song.  But it wasn't only that, he was behind the music all the time too.  One of the comments even said it was in C#M when the original is in EM, and he still wasn't even close.  That's 1 and half steps down from standard tuning.

To give people an idea, Sabbath usually always play the old songs from standard tuning but live will be in Eb so just a half step down, to give a bit more heaviness.  Also, I believe the Images and Words 2017 concert in half step down in Eb too.  Lots of bands will tune down half a step to help the singers ('Arry should have done this for Blaze) but 1 and a half steps is a major detune.

Yeah wow.  I might check out some more out of curiosity as one of the comments on the vid I watched said it was a much better performance than some of the other shows.  WTF?! I thought!

Never a fan as you know but they seemed to have the chops live and put on a good show for sure.  That's why when you see it get this bad, someone has to say something and tell him it's over.  I know we rag on James but fuck you'd hope he'd have the smarts to quit if he ever got this fucking bad.
