I come into anything Armored Saint with a positive bias too - but something about that track's structure just puts me off.  Won't stop me buying the album as I'm sure there'll be plenty I like.

Cool Michael Schenker interview.
His last two albums have been two of the best he's ever done. Ever.

You summed up all my thoughts on the matter with those few words.  That's why I knew I had to share.

Pre ordered it from his website with the DVD.  Hopefully it doesn't take too long to come.

Haven't posted much the last few weeks, but want to say that I've been spinning the latest JSS album lately, and we feared the worst, but it's actually pretty good.

Just another 75% er for me but yeah..............not as bad as expected and I did fear the worst after the first couple of tracks too.    The midsection of the album is quite strong without having any tracks I'd be raving about.  I haven't felt the need to return to it since I first played it though , which is all too often the case at the moment.

I think it helped that I went in with pretty much no expectations, even though I think Damage Control was so strong. You're right, there's nothing really mind blowing here, but an entertaining listen IMO.

I'm listening to Raven's Life's  A Bitch at the moment.  Now this is quality writing that I can relate to.......real world stuff  :lol

Woke up this morning more dead than alive
Sentenced to madness from nine until five
The weather is lousy, think I'm gonna be late
I don't give a shit, my mind is filled up with hate
My breakfast is freezing, the milk has gone off
I feel like telling the world to fuck off

I just finished that Village People album Tim  :lol    Sub in some less embarrassing/awful lyrics and it's actually a pretty rocking album....some of it's a bit like early Accept.   It won't be making my list but I've heard a lot worse.

This track of their next album is a bit more representative of their sound

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lxXAds7s4Vk

Nothing mindblowing but has elements of Accept, Pretty Maids etc.... and I think I might even prefer them to Kiske/Somerville  :rollin

Yeah, I hear the Accept influence. Krokus too.

But my God..they are horrible! They remind me of the band in School Of Rock that barely beats out the kids.

:lol  Well I don't think they're quite that terrible - especially for pornstars in leopard skin  ;D   I rated the album around 69%   ;)

Tim......I know you like Waysted's Vices.  There's a re-issue from 2013 with half a dozen of the tracks remixed and added as bonus tracks which I haven't seen before.  Apparently it makes quite a difference to the sound quality.  Not a huge fave of mine but thought you may be interested in it.

Talking of re-issues ,not sure how the deluxe version of Symbol of Salvation passed me by all those years ago  :-\   Three disc set with the Prichard demos and interview etc...

Another new Impelitteri video.  Well, different song but same video;

Fuck, this is pretty good, seems a step up from his usual output, might have to pick this up.  Dodgy fucking lyrics, but killer tune.

I've only heard the two songs that have videos.  Chris' work hasn't really ever done much for me, but this one sounds really solid.

Brent, I actually just saw the Waysted reissue the other day on Amazon. I'm not someone who typically buys remasters or reissues. I've never had a problem with the original so I'd have trouble spending money on a different mix. If it included a live set from that era, I'd grab it though.

Not familiar with the SOS reissue. Last time I saw them with Dave, they played Reign Of Fire and Spineless.

Man, this new TMac is heavy, proggy and complex. Only a few songs in, but for an instrumental album, gona be a grower I think.
