Hello, friends. I'm coming to share with you the just-finished metal album I've been working for the past year or so, it's called "Poems" and the project is called Inner. All the music was recorded/produced/mixed/mastered by me, and the vocals are of a friend of mine's. I worked really hard on this, and I hope you guys can enjoy it.

For the record, I'm just a keyboardist/audio engineer. I programmed the drums, the guitars, and the bass. The compositions are entirely mine, though.

These are mp3, if you guys ever want lossless versions of the songs or a physical version of the album, all you have to do is PM me and we'll figure something out. This music will shortly be on iTunes and such, if you ever want to support me to make more music/upload more albums/etc.

You said you programmed the guitar? It sounds very real if so.

I use :

Blackstar HT 100 head with cab emulator.

Toontrack EZDrummer.

Line 6 UX1 pod audio interface.

Logic Pro 9.

Waveburner mastering.

Musically it's very DT! It reminded me of

DT12. ADTOE. SC and Impermanent Resonance in places.

It may be due to being low res mp3 but it was slightly lacking in top end sparkle overall.

Good mixing and playing / vocals though and fun songs.

So glad you like it! I used Shreddage II to make the guitars, which is a Kontakt 5 library. The distorted tone I got through Amplitube 3 manipulation

As far as interface goes, I'm using a Fast Track Ultra 8R (M-Audio), for the drums I used Steven Slate Drums 4, which I find to be a bit more versatile than EZDrummer (which is amazing in its own right), and all of the production duties I did in Cubase 7.5 which is my main DAW.

Musically, that was my approach! I wanted to do compact/cool songs such like the ones found in Impermanent Resonance, but still make it somewhat progressive and keeping it interesting throughout.

Also, with the high end thing, I think that's one of the perks of not having (yet) a super hi-fi mixing environment

(Although the wavs sound better, naturally

)

You mentioned they are mp3s, but what I downloaded appears to be mpeg4. No big deal, just pointing out that difference.

I like to just use one of my own photos and slap some text on it.

It's only for iTunes. If it was a full CD release in stores then I'd spend a bit more time on it.

Well, as some of you might know, I'm the producer and composer of a metal project called 'Inner'. Today we've just released a supporting EP for our debut album 'Poems', which you can already find in iTunes, Spotify, Deezer, Google Play or any other digital streaming platform.

The last track off the EP is the Poems version, and the second track is the 'new' version. I'm already working on album number 2 and it's gonna leave Poems eating dust
