...is the best new show currently on television right now. That is all.

Yes Sir! It is pretty friggin' good. I love the new angle on vampirism. I've enjoyed every episode (especially the first one that Del Toro directed) and the characters are interesting. I really like the fact that the series isn't an open ended series....that they have a plan for the show. From Wiki:

"they wanted to follow the books closely and liked the idea of The Strain as a close-ended series consisting of three to five seasons. Del Toro stated that the first two novels can be covered by one season each, while The Night Eternal may be split into two or three seasons. The author is also open to creative detours that may develop as the series goes on, possibly incorporating material cut from the books. Del Toro intends to direct as many episodes as his busy schedule allows"

Another promising show that I've only seen the first episode of (there's only been two so far) is "The Intruders" on BBC America. From what I gathered it's a spiritual possession premise...and, the first episode was kind of creepy.

"Legends" on TNT with Sean Bean has been pretty good as well. He's a real good actor....

There have been more than a few times where the suspense and creepiness factor has been done really well.  The cab attack, and run to the house scene were very scary good!

Last nights episode had a 'Walking Dead' feel.   Good show.  Also, check out 'The Last Ship'.

Sure hope they finish these shows out unlike The Glades and Longmire, both of which were canceled and had cliff hangers in the final shows.

This is a show that my daughter and I are really enjoying thus far.  Anyone not watching is missing out.

This show is restoring my faith in vampires.
Hef is right on all things. Except for when I disagree with him. In which case he's probably still right.

Last nights episode reminded me at the end an awfully lot of the TV run of " 'Salem's Lot" from the 70's; which was a very good thing. I was very pleased with the depiction of The Master/Jusef Sardu. Perfect monster creation.  :metal

Ahh...now I regret not staying up that extra 45 minutes or so and just gutting it out and watching it. Gonna watch tonight.
