an update on these four + the Alrakis disc
Being: now that i've given this a lot more listens i actually stand by this being here. it's a really damn good djent-flavored prog metal album. i don't like the ending and there's one or two tracks I could do without but each song has a strong hook and a lot of good music to keep my enjoying it. i feel like with 62ish minutes of djenty stuff i should get bored but i never really do
East of the Wall: I -still- don't really feel done with this but i can revisit it later, which i probably will. i don't like it as much as The Apologist but i don't expect every album to be a friggin' 10/10 so
Dordeduh: i am actually keeping this on lessened rotation because i really do not feel done with this. such a behemoth of an album, a lot less metal than OM but i think i prefer it this way. but yeah, definitely deserves more listens
mum: this is going on my sleeping music rotation, but it's still a great album just to listen to normally, i'm quite pleased to have something like this in my collection and might check out another album from them in 2018 when i've finally caught up to everything else i need to listen to
Alrakis: best black metal i've heard, probably. also best ambient too lol. i'll likely be doing a top 25 (at least) of albums i purchased or received in 2015 and you can expect this one to easily be in the top 5 (unless there are several albums in the 10 or so i still need to be giving proper listens to that are better, which i sort of doubt will be the case but you never know)
anyways i'll post what's going to be on my listening rotation for the next week or so tonight after i give them all spins
