What is the name of the band?

Please don't tell me, that's probably the only reason I didn't check them out. :lol

Chad, if you're wise you'll PM Tim the band name.
Everyone else, except Wolfking is wrong.

Dummy
Portishead
Third

Just listened to a couple of Motörhead songs this morning aswell, I only knew Overkill, The Game and obviously Ace of Spades, but there was some great stuff in there.
people on this board are actual music fans who developed taste in music and not casual listeners who are following current fashion trends and listening to only current commercial hits.

I've got the reissue of this in the attic somewhere. Don't remember anything about it. Should I dig it out or is it not worth the effort?

Marillion - Dry Land

Going through my albums that I've bought in 2015, and picking a track from each. This was a huge part of my summer soundtrack.

East of the Wall - Ressentiment

there's one really weird thing about this album i need to comment on
the first two tracks are really heavy and use a lot of dissonance and i'm not a huge fan of them, at least not right now
and then they stop doing that for the other 50 minutes of the album. the rest sounds like what I'd expect East of the Wall to sound like (and really pretty good too, dunno if it's up to the standards of The Apologist but it's definitely good)

and i'm just wondering what even happened to make this the case, it's baffling

Antemasque - Self Titled

Omar and Cedric from The Mars Volta shed the progressive rock and wacky instrumentation in favor of straightforward hard rock. I highly recommend it. Lots of catchy songs on this thing.
Gadough isn't Hitler. He's much, much worse.

It's actually pretty good melodic hard rock Paul.  With Christmas etc....and the podcast I am not making much headway but a lot of what I'm listing in here at the moment - this included- is part of my attempt at a review of 1988.

A local reviewer with a copy of the new Avantasia has finally relented and decided to give me a spin  :tup

Ok I'm addicted to this band. I mean, they don't blow me away, yet I can't get enough of their sound, and of trip-hop in general. This one is quite darker than Dummy, and although it's not as good, it has some gems like All Mine and Undenied.

Just got through the Rage EP and it's pretty typical solid metal - just Peavey and a bunch of other guys these days.  It's alright but heard it a million times before.

Avantasia/Meatloaf starting now........

Well I may venture into the chaos that is the attic then. It's still raining here. Do you need some of our water for your forest fires? We have plenty.

My favourite ACDC album
It seems that they're entering an area of extreme hazard. A zone of some sort. A dangerous one.
