Their timing was wrong, i guess.

They got a deal with Century Media, and released two records, but it was around the time that European Power Metal got really big (around 97/98) and CM gave up on them because they were too heavy or something. They disbanded around 99 i think, but they had potential to continue to release some more awesome albuns. The second one, Architect Of the Mind, is also really good.

They were a much heavier brand of power metal, based on pretty heavy riffs and lots of melody.

Not only is it a fantastic debut but the production is outstanding and it's an amazing album full stop. Highly recommend.

this always loses me after the first three tracks and never really gets me back
the title track's alright but other than that the album feels very meandering.
and it doesn't feel very cohesive either, which i can't say about any other sigur ros album
