No I will never convert!

The only other band I have ever tried to tolerate growls was Darkest Hour. I thought their music was so great, but even then I could only get trough 2 or 3 songs at a time.
I did borrow a co worker's In Flames CD years ago, around 2002 I guess, and those vocals were literally painful. I couldn't even hear the music.

I made it through the entire Enshine album. I'm really impressed with the music, other than Resurgence. I was definitely thinking how much better it'd be without the growls, but I'm not sure what kind of vocalist would work here. The growls, though definitely there, still feel low in the mix to me, so the edge is definitely taken off.

There are tons of growly bands that have spectacular music, but it's music that I can still get somewhere else with actual vocals. There's something about Enshine's music that I find really unique and mesmerizing.
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related

TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now? :lol

I don't mind growls when it's not for the whole song. Used for a response or an affect is when I like it.  Full on every word I can't take that.

third: this is just a mess, all the longer songs meander aimlessly and go nowhere with no payoff or really much of any emotional weight. maybe further listens would change this opinion but i'm not sure i want to give it further listens, unforunately  :lol

Played this a few days ago and it was better than I remembered. Not a great edguy album but not that bad. A couple of tracks did let it down a bit.

Vanden plas - chronicles part 2.

Serpentine Sky - s/t. Let's party like its 1985

Yep, that's the artwork for the "Empire" single.

I like it better than the pixelated garbage used on the actual album cover - whoever thought that was a good idea needs to be shot.

Great to see some love for RATM, while we're at it:

people on this board are actual music fans who developed taste in music and not casual listeners who are following current fashion trends and listening to only current commercial hits.

For the first time I'm actually liking I Talk to the Wind, and quite a lot. On a side note, SW's remix of this album is fantastic.
