I didn't pick up that Europe, but I might get the new one coming out with the live DVD.

Neither did I.  It's pretty solid none-the-less, but not what I put in the 'purchase-worthy' column

So it's "solid" but not "purchase worthy"? Maybe it's not all that solid. ;D
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Winger Theater Forums........or WTF.  ;D
TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now? :lol

I quite liked War of Kings and did buy it. Bloody typical that a special edition comes out to give the fans the finger.
Decent album, and I've not really been into the reformed albums. I did revisit bag of bones on the back of enjoying WoK and enjoyed that too.

I did actually hear a bit of it and thought the same as Chad, but a live concert DVD just might tip the scales and make me buy it.  Depending on price of course.

Grave digger - rheingold . Didn't love the vocals but some great stuff on this.

I got quite a few Grave Digger albums, good band.  Chris' vocals are an acquired taste, but I have no problem with them.  I haven't got Rheingold though.  Excalibur and Knights of the Cross are fantastic.

i've listened to this twice now and i get the impression that, while it's okay, a lot of the songs are overlong
also cds may or may not exist and are rare if they do? which is annoying since i won't get vinyl and mp3's are lame
so i doubt i'll end up getting this any time soon considering i don't exactly love it and it's not easy to get either

there is no food is still great though, probably because it's one of the few succinct songs on the album

The last Europe album I purchased is Prisoners In Paradise

That was me for a long time as well - hell, I didn't even know they reformed until a couple of years ago.  Grabbed the 2000's albums, and they were all pretty good.  Nothing that would match PiP, but certainly better than Out of This World.  Bag of Bones and Last Look at Eden both had a lot of replay value.

The only song I don't like is Resurgence, where they try and be all metal and heavy. But the music on the rest is so ridiculously cool.

apparently Caladan Brood is heavily influenced by this but
i dunno, at least there i could have suspension of disbelief that the orchestration was real and not just synths
but here it's so apparent that they're fake and bleh. both are solid though, at the very least  :lol
but i think i prefer Caladan Brood's album to this, even with the loud tambourine-ing

side-note lists, everyone loves them right
here's the top 5 BM albums i want to get rn
1. Alrakis - Alpha Eri
2. Saor - Aura
3. Negura Bunget - OM
4. Enslaved - Riitiir
5. Agalloch - Ashes Against The Grain

i dunno if agalloch actually technically qualifies? probably
the others for sure do though
there's others i want to get eventually but yeah i am liking exploring this genre a lot

One of the greatest albums of the last decade or so. I'm dying to hear a follow-up (next year, maybe?)
Condoms? Um, are they like a dream theater souvenir?  Where can I find those condoms? That'd be really nice to havr.

first: decent mathy prog rock, but i think i got all i'll get out of this on one listen, it's not too engaging
second: it's an enslaved album. felt lighter than all their others i guess but yeah
third: this is just a mess, all the longer songs meander aimlessly and go nowhere with no payoff or really much of any emotional weight. maybe further listens would change this opinion but i'm not sure i want to give it further listens, unforunately  :lol

also proggy math rock, but jazzy too
this band has the good sense to make their music ~fun~ though and that makes this feel a lot more alive than the last one, shame it's rather short but i enjoyed this a fair bit

It doesn't make sense, and I can't explain why, but I love this album.

I'm listening to it now, but will only listen to a couple of tracks before I gotta crash for the night.  It's quite brilliant, all of it.  I love pretty much everything going on.

The music is fantastic. Listening to these vocals is like watching porn while having a cavity filled. Consider me distracted!

Tim, I'm actually really surprised you are enjoying this so much.  Your opinion on the growls I can sort of relate to when I started listening.  I started with In Flames The Jester Race and a couple of Soilwork albums.  I remember listening to the In Flames thinking it was the most absurb, dumbest excuse for vocals I had ever heard, but at the same time was so captivated and couldn't stop listening.  It was quite an experience getting into growls and I'll never forgot the feeling.  I think your discription makes sense to me.

This album I think could be purchase worthy.
