From the ocean comes the notion that the realise lies in rhythm. The rhythm of vision is dancer, and when you dance you´re always on the one. From the looking comes to see, wondrous realise real eyes....

Alter Bridge - Blackbird
Is this called post-grunge? Not that I care too much - it's simply a killer heavy album :metal. Thanks mikemangioy for getting me into them.

I'll check it for sure - after I finish digesting all the albums I got for the roulette  ;D. Now listening to:

The Prodigy - The Fat of the Land
A friend recommended me this after he saw it on my to-listen list - and dude, this album is... energic and a bit crazy - the opener is called Smack My Bitch Up, so you get an idea :lol. I'm a noob on electronic music, but this makes me realise I should listen to it more.

Today:

I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

I often say that Images and Words was what started my prog listening career, but I always forget that I had Parallels first and it came out first.

I'm pretty sure I had Parallels first too as I have that on cassette ,but only had I&W on CD.   Both classics but Parallels is just a bit sterile/lacking life if I had to be picky.   I&W is close enough to my favourite album of all time but Parallels would be right up there if I had to list a Top 10 favourite prog metal albums.
