Best Ozzy album.

Classic Maiden album.

Excellent and underrated Satch album.

Don't know the other one.

I'll agree on the Satch and the Ozzy. First less than stellar Maiden album for me,
Don't know Veto either.

Hef is right on all things. Except for when I disagree with him. In which case he's probably still right.

Metal Church- Blessing in Disguise

Kiss- Creatures of the Night

All top notch discs there jj

The top four in mine are all from the last year - or last week in a couple of cases.  The Serious Black has a few interested around here - urban Breed and Grapow.

The bottom one is pre Sabbath (Earth) demos and pre- Priest Tipton (Flying Hat Band) demos.

What are the Earth demos like Brent?  Did they became Sabbath tunes?

Of the 13 tracks I think 8 became well known Sabbath songs , a few songs written by a guy called Norman Haines (old style, bluesy stuff that wasn't released on Sabbath records) and also Elvis' Blue Suede Shoes.  I still haven't listened to it properly............later today.

Yeah sure jj - I'm sure Paul would be familiar with it too.  It's considered a bit of an underground melodic/glam metal classic.   I like it but ,if memory serves , I wasn't quite as rapt as most others were in it though.   Great vocals etc..... but the songs were mostly just solid rather than brilliant IMO.

I'll get it out later and have a listen but off the top of my head I probably rated it around 80%.

Certainly deserved more success than it got , but anything good released in 1992 (other than Images and Words)....................you know the story.  ::)

YYeah I have that. Same opinion as Brent really. Didn't live up to the hype  but it was ok. Didn't grab me at all at the time but people caslling it a lost gem made me listen again. 80% is about right.

Vega are fairly standard AOR fare - maybe a tad better than that but nothing you won't have heard before. Right up your street TAC  :lol
Joking aside they are a bit too safe and same-y for me. Classy though. I know Kade likes 'em alot. Guess playing all 3 albums would give that impression.

For me-

Alice Cooper - From The Inside, Constrictor

Metallica - S&M. Man, if only the originals had these arrangements. That would be something.

Judas Priest - Sad Wings Of Destiny

Shattered Skies - The World We USed To Know

Yeah, Paul is right, Vega is straight up melodic/aor.  I honestly don't think you'd get much out of them, but IMO you can't deny the quality and catchiness of their tunes, I love them to be honest.

Ride the Sky was a failed Uli Kusch project featuring a great singer named Bjorn Jansson.  It's a decent enough collection of songs, but nothing that has much lasting power.  They broke up just because of lack of interest in the band.  A shame Uli isn't doing anything else, he is such a good drummer.
