Saw him at the Lawrence high school football field in 1983 as John Butcher Axis.  Met him at a mall where I hung out all the time.  He was from where I grew up.

Somebody could say "Jesus Christ!" and TAC would say "Yeah, I saw him at Bethany in 33 AD.  Great show."

I decided that I didn't want to post in this thread as often as I have been, so I let this build up, though admittedly too much. :lol This is my listening the last 2-3 weeks over the Christmas period:

Brent, I'm assuming that live Badlands is a bootleg, what's the sound quality like?

Not really a bootleg J -  I cheated a bit with the cover as I couldn't find one online for the actual one .  It's actually 1991 in Texas.  Great show , although missing a few of my big faves (Hard Driver, Dreams In The Dark, Silver Horses).

The show isn't quite as polished as you'd expect from an official live release but I'd call it a very good soundboard.  It was done as a radio broadcast for a radio station called Z Rock , whoever they are.  I'm sure someone here will know them.

PM me if you want me to get some samples to you via Youtube.  Gillen's vocals on it are top notch and very clear in the mix.
