Plenty of filler on that IMO but Cemetery Gates  :hefdaddy   I'm not a huge Pantera fan but that song would come under serious consideration for any "Top ??" metal songs list I did.

I'm listening to Morphine - A Cure for Pain. First time ever, never heard of this band but I stumbled upon them on the internet. They supposedly had some degree of succes, even radio airplay and MTV etc.

It's a power trio, dark alt rock with low basslines and saxophone. A bit noir. I really like this stuff, weird that I've never heard of them before.
Not 'Down To F***', but 'Dream Theater Forums' .

CD 3 of Rush's "Different Stages" (the one from London 1978).

I quite like the In Faith. I didn' t think I would but it's got some excellent songs on it. Tony Marshall is still a prick though

And I like Big Cock... If you see what I mean  :blush

Borealis is pretty good too.

We had the odd disagreement in person once or twice. There were some great people over there at one time and I used to meet up with them at Maximes. Most aren't there anymore.

I checked out Sun Eater a few days ago but it wasn't for me.

I do approve of PRISM and 1989 though.

Hey, this Muse band sounds nice, despite the singer. And Earth 2 is probably the most boring album ever :lol .

I think it's a very interesting album at the very least. I wish the latter two tracks were more like the first though, which I do love a lot.

It sounds quite unique, never heard this Drone Metal thing. But I don't really know how to appreciate this kind of music. It might be like ambient, better on the background? Because hearing the same slow riff for 16 minutes it's boring.

Been listening to Porcupine Tree's In Absentia and Fear of a Blank Planet lately, but Skyharbor's new album (Guiding Lights) has been in constant rotation since I first heard it late yesterday afternoon. Incredible album.

Porcupine Tree: Signify

I've decided to run through the PT discography as I come to each album in the PT Survivor*. It's a good chance to refresh myself on the discography of a truly great band.

*May or may not be a shameless plug.
