That Witherscape album is the tits.

Yeah, hadn't listened to it for quite a while, but really enjoyed it.

I spend most the day and often the night in a home office - only thing that keeps me semi-sane

Guardians of the Galaxy-Awesome Mix Vol. 1

This has practically lived in my CD player, minus an overnight trip I took over the weekend, and it was still the first CD I played when I left the house and the one playing when I came home. Best soundtrack ever? Best one of non-original material, by far.

Brilliant, beautiful album. On one hand, it really makes me miss Gorillaz, but on the other...it's very similar while injecting a lot more of Albarn's unique style of beats and atmosphere.

Yeah, that's a terrific album, one of my favorites of 2014. I saw Damon this year live and he performed a whole lot of these songs - Hostiles gave me chills, but the people were generally more excited about Gorillaz tunes.

Green Day: Kerplunk
Queensryche: Operation Mindcrime
Evanescence: Origin
Eden's Curse: Trinity

Lowdz, how's the Wolf? It's on The List.

I've not heard much from them before. Stumbled across a track on Youtube and enjoyed it. Spotify have the album. I really like it. Staright forward old school metal. Like the NWOBHM but with a listenable production, unlike most of the NWOBHM albums back in the day. I was pleasantly surprised.

I'll probably get it too.  Last album was really solid.

Brent, whats that Killer Dwarfs like?

Solid but that's about it.   As you probably know it's a "lost album" that's been brought up to scratch and released 20 years later.  To me Killer Dwarfs have two classic albums -  Dirty Weapons (awesome) and Big Deal (excellent).   Their 1992 release Method To The Madness was good but a fair step down and I'd put it on a similar level to that.

The good news is that it has good sound , certainly wasn't a grunge sellout (common at the time) and all the little quirks of their signature sound are there.  The songs just aren't on the same level as those two classics.

If you're a big fan it's probably worth having but that's about it.
