You've built up quite a nice little collection of AOR rarities Hath........Steelhouse Lane , Prophet , etc....from recent days.  Nice  :)

Currently listening to my wolfking roulette playlist and trying to trim it,.

I think I enjoyed Slaves of the New World more than Metallic Blue, but it was still a quality album.

Slaves definitely had a lot more time put into it and is a proper album crafted from scratch.   Metallic Blue recycled a number of Slamer's songs that had already been used by other bands .........even the title track itself (House of Lords)

Two excellent albums. Metallic Bluesuffers a little because I'd heard several of the songs by other bands before hearing them on this. Still, its a gem.

I recognized Metallic Blue, Can't Fight Love, and Dr. Love.  Who did the other songs?

I might be forgetting something but Brighter Day (James Christian),  Addicted (Wall of Silence), Surrender/Fight Fire With Fire (Tower City)

Hagar - VOA

Been listening to all his solo albums this week.  As mentioned in the 6 pop albums of the 80's thread, I've listened from None on a Ten Scale through VOA so far.  The earlier albums had a few standouts, but as Stadler said, Standing Hampton, Three Lock Box, and VOA are really where it's at.  Such good stuff.  I need to go back and give them all a really good listen a few more times.

Been ages since I listened to Muse. This remains their best album by a long shot.

Great album! I disagree on it being their best album, that's Origin of Symmetry  :P

I'm actually not a big fan of OoS (atleast not compared to the average Muse fan). There are a few top 5-20 songs, but then there are a few songs which really don't do much for me, unlike Absolution and Resistance where I can enjoy the entire album start to finish.

Citizen Erased is my jam though.  :metal

OoS is the better album for 6 songs, then it's weaker after, Absolution is basically more consistent and Apocalypse Please is the best Muse song imo

OoS is the best Muse album and New Born is the best song :micdrop:
people on this board are actual music fans who developed taste in music and not casual listeners who are following current fashion trends and listening to only current commercial hits.

You may be aware .............that was recorded live and tidied up to sound like a (mostly) studio recording.

I gave it a listen a couple of years ago, and was unfortunately quite underwhelmed with it. I really wanted to like it given the people involved.

Yep. I think the only party in the MP/DT situation that hasn't moved on is DTF.

Yep.  Pretty well done.

I was surprised at how much I liked Schon's playing on this album.  You don't get to hear him play like that in Journey.

He intentionally restricts himself to a certain sound in Journey for the most part, but when he busts out, the dude kicks ass. His solo albums let loose more too.

My understanding was that they redid the drums, and since the drum mikes also captured the audience recording, they lost the crowd noise.
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
