Later today I'll be checking out some new releases .........both released today

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

I've been hanging out for the Peterik / Scherer album since I found out about it. I've listened to that single every single day at least once. From the samples I've heard on Amazon, some of the songs were very promising '80s Survivor fare, although there seemed to be an awful lot of ballads. The sections they chose for the samples sucked though, so I don't know what I'll think of it.

Once I get it, I'll post my thoughts in the melodic rock thread where we shall reconvene!

Yep. I think the only party in the MP/DT situation that hasn't moved on is DTF.

That Peterik Scherer is going to be a hard one to rate Blob - the first two tracks are very competent (Peterik by numbers) but they make Cold Blooded sound like Damage Inc.   I was hoping Cold Blooded would be a lighter/mid range track but it's sounding like it's one of the heavier ones .

I think I might do two ratings - one for cheesaholics and one for cheesophobics

Anyway.....will keep listening  ;D

:lol Yeah, I do wish there were more of the harder rocking ones like that, but I really dig the corny '80s stuff that sounds like it belongs in the original Transformers movie too.
I've been skipping the ballads for now, but I'm enjoying the "rock" tracks a lot. They're so uplifting and I can't help but smile. I don't imagine it will be to anyone else's tastes here though.

Btw, the DTF term for cheesophobics is "forum member".

I've only ever heard Act III and love it. How does this compare?

edit - never mind - read it wrong. I was thinking Death Angel.

Still working my way through the obscure stuff from 1987.  It would be easier if I was less of a stickler for detail when I work on something like this ::)   But then I have also uncovered a good album or two that I wasn't aware of.  :tup

No idea  :lol  But they were included on an album called The Best of German Heavy Metal in 1987 ,so a good researcher would be forced to take a listen  ;D

Here's another cool file photo of the band
