Before moving on to Knife of Dreams (thank God the slump is over), I'm taking a bit of a break and read a graphic novel or two, starting with Irredeemable Omnibus, Volume 1 by Mark Waid

I don't watch tv.

I read about 4-5 books per month (if I'm reading regular length,  english novels). I watch less than 1hr of tv/movie/internet videos any given week.

When i used to read 10+ each month i was assisted by a job where i could read most days at work. And many of those days i could read all day.

Audio books while doing exercise and making pottery has really increased my reading volume. I also listen to them at 1.5x speed.

First volume was great, the second volume, a little less so. Got into some science stuff that was a bit over my head, but overall, totally recommend the series. Next, continuing to take advantage of my free Comixology trial run and reading Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Ultimate Collection, Volume 1 by Kevin Eastman

So I made it up to the Wind through the Keyhole section in Wind Through the Keyhole and I must say I have absolute no interest in anything that is happening so far.
The Tim Stoutheart story is pretty good though! You may miss out on a fun story.

Didn't read while on vacation so way behind on this. I thought the Tim Stoutheart story was... ok. I actually found the story about them tracking the Skin Man more interesting. But even then, unlike Roland's story while in Mejis, it didn't inform me as to his character at all. His experiences in Mejis helped shape the man he became that we've been reading about up till then. His experience in Debaria(?) was just something that happened to him that was at best mildly interesting.

I continued with reading a few graphic novels over the weekend. After the Turtles, I read Die by Kieron Gillen. I overall enjoyed it, kind of like Jumanji meets D&D. I'll definitely read more by him in the future, and then I read Darth Vader - Dark Lord of the Sith by Charles Soule, which I really enjoyed because Star Wars. Now, it's back to the Wheel with Knife of Dreams

Finished BLAME! last night. What an amazing blend of hyperfuturistic sci-fi with existential horror, minimal dialogue, lots of great action scenes, and a fantastic art style. Highly recommended :hefdaddy

My MiL signed us up for a book-of-the-month thing and this was one of my picks. Just reading too slowly these days to get to all these books.

I read some great graphic novels over the weekend. First was the first volume of American Vampire by Scott Snyder and Stephen King, The Last Ronin by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird, and to prepare for the upcoming series, She-Hulk Epic Collection Vol. 3: Breaking the Fourth Wall by John Byrne. Now, reading The Gathering Storm by Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson. Can't believe only 3 books to go!

My graphic novel reading this weekend included reading both volumes of Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning's run on Guardians of the Galaxy (with the exception of The Thanos Imperative and Annihilators) , which I really enjoyed. Now, I'm starting on Towers of Midnight

Oh sweet. A books thread. This might be enough temptation to keep me out of my hole for a little longer!

Currently reading - Men at Arms.  Another entry in my sporadic reading of the Discworld series. Definitely another fantastic entry.

This past weekend, for my graphic novel reading, I decided to read some supplemental Sandman material, which I never got around to: Endless Nights and The High Cost of Living. Wasn't a huge fan of Endless Nights. The Despair and Delirium sections were too WTF for me. The High Cost of Living was much better.

Anyway, the moment has finally arrived. After more than twenty years, I will be finally finishing The Wheel of Time with A Memory of Light!

It's been many years since I've read it, but I recall that book being just amazing :metal

This was SO GOOD.  Best book I've read in a while.

Gwendy's Button Box by Stephen King & Richard Chizmar.  A re-read, because I finally picked up the second and third books.

Finished the Age Of Madness trilogy by Joe Abercrombie.

I really like those books, but man, was that ending bleak and sad and depressive.

After last weekend, I decided to reread The Sandman series. I have the two huge omnibus editions. I'm only reading the first one for right now, because I read the first four volumes back in 2012, but I didn't read the rest until 2019, so I don't really have an inclination to read the second half of the series. Made it through Doll's House today, so I'll probably end up finishing it by next Sunday
