Gerald's Game was too boring for me, so I decided to finish off his Bachman books. I only had Rage, Roadwork and The Running Man to do, so I read all three of them in a row and enjoyed all three of them for the most part. I got to say (although I don't remember my impressions of The Regulators or Blaze) The Running Man is my new favorite in that line.

Now, getting back to Saga with Book Two by Brian K. Vaughan

Ended up reading I’m with the Band: Confessions of a Groupie by Pamela Des Barres, which I quite enjoyed. Don't know if I'll read the rest of her books though. Now, reading The Plot by Jean Hanff Korelitz

Recently finished a re-read of Dune by Frank Herbert.

Currently reading Greenlights by Matthew McConaughey.

Currently reading Greenlights by Matthew McConaughey.

Alright, alright, alright!  It's a good read... McConaughey is more than the sum of his parts for certain.  He's an interesting guy.  I've finally gotten around to starting True Detective and he's blown me away so far (alone with the HPL references)!

I also just finished listing to Dune in prep for the movie.

Working through Rise and Fall of the Third Reich right now

Now with Twitler taking a high end steak of this caliber and insulting the cow that died for it by having it well done just shows zero respect for the product, which falls right in line with the amount of respect he shows for pretty much everything else.- Lonestar

The Plot was a nicely done thriller with a nasty twist I didn't see coming. So, going back to nonfiction. With this month being the official 40th anniversary of MTV, I decided to wax nostalgia and read VJ: The Unplugged Adventures of MTV's First Wave by Gavin Edwards

Working through Rise and Fall of the Third Reich right now

Read that many years ago. Just the other day I realized it was still on my shelf - I borrowed it from my dad and obviously never returned it!

If It Bleeds by Stephen King. Enjoyed the first two novellas quite a bit. Piggy-backing on what I said on the last page, I find myself enjoying his short stories much more than his novels at this point in his career, which I could not have said up till 2000 or so.

My second favorite novella collection of his after Different Seasons (if you don't count Hearts in Atlantis)

I know he has several I haven't read. Unfortunately I never scooped up anything of his outside of the novels for many years so have some catching up to do.

Stephen King's short story collections are almost always entertaining, although not every story is great. The aforementioned Different Seasons has Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption and The Body (made into the film Stand By Me), two of his best stories. And Skeleton Crew has The Mist. Another novella that is among his best works, at least imo.

So, yesterday and today, I continued knocking out some of my Stephen King backlist with Cycle of the Werewolf and The Colorado Kid. Both I found completely lackluster. Now, trying some horror with The Conqueror Worms by Brian Keene

That's basically how I felt about American Gods. Didn't even bother with Anansi Boys

I've only read The Ocean at the End of the Lane (loved it) by Gaiman and Good Omens—which was half Pratchett so that probably doesn't count (but also loved it)—and I saw a hardcover edition of Anansi Boys in the store like two or three months ago, so I thought what the hell.

Foundation was awesome!

Now, Pandora's Star by Peter F. Hamilton. I really haven't read/completed anything big so far this year. I'm already 100 pages in so far and enjoying it. I think I managed 30 pages or so a while back and was just not in the mood for it at the time. Now, I think I am
