Although I still have 2 books to read I just ordered Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? and The Man in the High Castle by Philip K. Dick, and Good Omens by Terry Pratchett & Neil Gaiman

www.thriftbooks.com has been a blessing to me

Thriftbooks is the BOMB.  I love it.

FYI, "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" is one of my favorite books of all time.  I've read it about 10 times, and I will sometimes just read it because. Or if I'm traveling, I'll throw it in my briefcase/suitcase.

I'm looking forward to finally reading it because I've heard great things!

Yeah thriftbooks rules, the girl I'm with introduced me to it last week. Love it.

It's up to you, and how you read; for me, there's enough there that I can read through and get something new every time.   There are some great existential questions in there and there are some real matters of interpretation.  I've actually changed my view on the characters in the book at couple times over the years.

With this month in social media not only being March Mystery Madness and Middle Grade March, for my reread this month, I'll be revisiting my favorite required reading book of junior high, and one of the books that made me want to be a reader, The Westing Game by Ellen Raskin

Okay yeah this was amazing. This book blew the first one out of the water. One of my favourite reads from the past few months.

Can't help it, got to finish the trilogy (and return the books to my friend who was very kind to loan them to me) with The Amber Spyglass by Philip Pullman

Part of me wants to say this was my favorite of the three, but like Tonie, it kind of lacked a conclusion. I wonder why it was so short compared to the others? Anyway, reading something a but lighter, Gil's All Fright Diner by A. Lee Martinez

That was a fun story. Mr. Martinez will definitely be staying on my radar. Moving on to my next read. The Rise and Fall of D.O.D.O. was one of my favorite books of 2017, so I'm hoping the sequel, Master of the Revels by Nicole Galland will be just as good

Didn't quite reach the heights of the second book, was somewhat boring in places but still a solid read. The ending itself was spot on, absolutely no complaints here. Somber and magical. Props to the author for pulling it off.

I ought to give The Trouble With Peace by Joe Abercrombie another try. I started reading it last year and just wasn't in the mood for it, stopped after ~30 pages. I loved the first book. A Little Hatred, so hopefully this time I can stick with it.

Because it's National Poetry Month, I'll be trying to read a few narrative/epic poems, starting with Paradise Lost by John Milton. I'm pretty sure I've probably listed this in my currently reading feed a few times, so wish me luck here. I'd really like to have this under my belt

So, the Milton didn't work out for me. I think I'm just going to have to forget about it at this point. Oh well.

So now, going back to speculative fiction and giving The Sparrow by Mary Doria Russell a try. I'm like 50 pages and it's written really well, but I'm wondering when good stuff is going to be occurring (with the flashback sections, anyway)

Okay no, this was very good. As I said before, Abercrombie (in my opinion) improved a lot since the first trilogy. Very fun (and as usual, morbid, gritty and sarcastic) read. Some chapters were typical Abercrombie and some chapters were very unusual and impressive. Enjoyed this a lot and will be buying the third book this year.

Determined to empty out my I-own-this-but-didn't-get-to-it-yet list, I'll have a go at Cryptonomicon by Neal Stephenson, this is going to be a long read I'm sure.

I can relate to this, based on your recommendation I've tried getting into A Little Hatred about four times. I get a chapter or two in and just decide I'm not in the mood for Abercrobie. I really should finish that someday.

At the moment I'm reading Brandon Sanderson -- Rhythm of War
"Owners of dogs will have noticed that, if you provide them with food and water and shelter and affection, they will think you are God. Whereas owners of cats are compelled to realize that, if you provide them with food and water and affection, they draw the conclusion that they are God.” — Christopher Hitchens

Quite enjoyed this one. It reads like a biography of the Skywalker clan, starting with Shmi and ending with Ben and Rey. She not only uses the movies as source materials, but the books and shows as well. Highly recommend if you're a fan.

Ended up reading Breach of Peace by one of my favorite Booktubers, Daniel B. Greene. I thought it was an awesome teaser for the start of his series.

Going to be working on Song of Kali by Dan Simmons. He's one of my favorite writers who hasn't steered me wrong yet, and I've heard Song is one of his best
